Glad to see you back! I wanted to share Serenity Wigs and Toppers currently has some gray human hair toppers right now if the person who asked the question is interested. They are salt and pepper though. They are longer than 10 inches but of course can be cut. Gray HH is VERY hard to come by. Hope that helps, Sherry
I bet Angela could sell her hair to make a really nice topper😂 you are correct it is extremely difficult to come by naturally gray unprocessed human hair topper, they damage the hair to get it that light shade usually.
Greetings Angela! Thank you for sharing your toppers. Does Toni Bratton still have her headband fall? It's so good to see you!! How are you feeling? Love and blessings ♥️🙏
I’m the same. Been pure white for years. Retired and reduced stress, now my hair is getting dark mixed in. I’m 69 so aging of course but really attribute the darker hair coming in due to reduced stress. It is hard to find a good blend as I also get yellow highlights from my heart meds.
Uniwigs has a really nice grey topper made in collaboration with Monique Parent and it is 16 inches but can be trimmed of course. It is synthetic hair. I'll put the link in the reply so that if that's not something you want here just delete the link instead of the whole comment. (Hopefully lol)
The problem with getting a gray human hair topper is that they have to process so much out of the hair that it becomes very weak and brittle. I tried for a long time to find grays that are human hair and have a nice lace front or mono part or some thing...even salt and pepper grays were problematic because when you would wash them you could tell that all of the white hairs did not react the same way to products and conditioner and washing as the natural hair that wasn't bleached so much. They just do not last and are not worth it in my opinion. It is extremely rare to find a topper made out of human hair that has been taken from a naturally gray woman. I think most of those are saved for Hollywood sets and such. So instead I learned how to make my synthetic grays last as long as possible with steaming and restyling instead of just throwing them away when they get frizzy.
I've heard that. I don't imagine they get a lot of gray haired donors, especially with long hair either. I suppose someone could get a platinum blonde one and try to color it gray. Likely it won't last too long due to all the processing though. It's a worry for me since I like to have some HH and synthetic. It's one of the reasons I keep coloring and wearing my hair brown. Good luck to us all! Sherry
