Good afternoon Katherine. Again a new , interesting lesson. Thanks a lot for teaching. It‘s truly a pleasure to join every week. 😊 I wish you a beautiful 2. advent weekend. Enjoy the time with your friends, with a traditional drink during a visit at the Christmas market I hope.😊😅
Hi Katharine. What an interesting video. To go to pubs definitely is not my cup of tea, but I am glad to learn about those expressions. Your lessons and videos are always so useful. Thanks a lot for teaching. Have a great weekend!!!
Hi, Katherina, thanks for teaching us the typical English pub culture, its vocabulary and idioms too that were all totally marvelous. I wish I were over there to go to one of the pub on Friday evening. Thankfully I have had many experience to be many Pubs in the uk (England, Scotland) and in Dublin as well (in St Patrick Day) which was great with dancing & singing. Take care. See you next week. Greeting from Turkey. Hasan
Katherine, you’ve made learning English so fun and relaxing!!! I’m reminded so much of my life in the UK by your detailed description! I began to follow you when you had 6000 followers. Wow, 200k now. Extraordinary job!!! ❤
Hello, hello..Señorita Katharine, is kind of interesting the tema that you have chosen, Greetings from a Mexican person living in Japan, now is 12;41 am..very late but like in a “public house, Pub to you, thanks love” gracias hasta luego…
Went to a pub in london, several years ago, and the best beer they had, was a french beer (who is a bad beer here). Too funny. But too many noise to understand anything. The waitress was italian, I prefered speak in italian with her, much more easy for me. It was an interesting experience.
If I'm ever hanging out with someone at a pub and notice you in the vicinity I'm gonna absolutely know you are taking notes, so I'll intentionally try to have a conversation about something ridiculous like giant ducks taking over the world, to see if it makes it into one of your videos. 🤭 My mom is in love with you and your channel by the way. Greetings from Argentina
Hello Katharine I think you enjoyed such a pub last week very much.Actually an English pub is a very enjoyable place for all kind of people including you. Thanks a lot for this lovely video ❤❤
Awesome.... Will have the pork scratchings tomorrow with pints of beer as they soak up the pints like nothing... 😂😂❤️ Sending greetings and tipsy pub vibes to you all the way from Srilanka 😮🤩🤩 Hugs.xoxoxo Gams ❤️
Hi, you're marvellous in the way you teach us the very British culture, I do really like to come over on Friday evening on an English pub🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💯💯💯💯💯💯
Good morning from Indonesia. Hello best friend. I really like your content. SUCH AN AWESOME LESSON. It's really impressive. Thank you for sharing a very good, interesting and inspiring video for all of us. Hopefully we can all be better, healthier, stronger, successful, happier and always under God's protection.
You are absolutely correct. I did visit a British pub in Kent County and it was magical. I envy you British people with your colourful way of speaking. I just wish we were magical, enchanting, and colourful like you British people. We do have the same problems in the States when it comes to drinking in pubs (we call the bars).
I feel down in the dumps cause our friends out there cant watch nor follow their favourite RU-vidrs as we do. Hope all the people of the world call for a ceasefire🤞 Jolly good show 👍 We learnt a bit of a snapshot to the British culture Thank you Katharine ❤

Hahaha.... Thanks a ton for the three hearts two cute little faces... 😘😘 Btw, you really got me into pub mood with this lesson of yours and I am sure that this will invariably end up myself doing pub crawling for the next few weeks for sure, as well as finally going me legless at the end of the festive season as well.. . . Lol 🤩🤩 Take care, cheers and have a fantabulous day my dear friend.. Hugs.xoxoxo Gams ❤️(Sri Lanka)

Mmm! Roast! Love good food so much!! And having pets too ( Cats, dogs or rabbits). So, in British English, we say: Stroke the dog, whereas in Amercan English we say: Pet the dog. Thanks for pointing that out, Teacher Katharine, and thanks a lot for sharing❤😸
Cherry, blackberry, raspberry, black currant tincture in small amounts 50 ml a day, - that is alcohol I use, Professor Katharine. Meat I do not use at all - are there in GB such persons?
Thanks Katharine teacher about your british culture because it Is very important know which is the different between american culture and brithis culture.❤❤
Great tanks for english teaching l like your sound lovely also about explain words but always try how to understand to its because of language journey has to know among of words to learn is it not easy one just steps up one by one learn every things in blind world.thanks.
You're so full of energy today. Are you speaking (OR do you speak!?) faster than normal? Pubs! The most british pub in the world is only a stone's throw away. (Most british ouside the UK 2010) Tudor Arms. Homepage, design of the 90s. 😅 As always I say something about Stockholm... #swenglish
You filled me up with good memories from the UK with this chapter!! By the way I found a book which I will start to read soon...its name: SNOBS by Fellowes probably will need your help to understand a few things about it. Regards from Mexico.
Lovely mesmerising video Kat , a jolly good show , darling . I enjoyed the journey . I remember when I was in a British pub in Wales , it was all about " A Pint " . ( It still appears very British to me , that lovely word " darling " , first word that pops up in a Dutchman 's brain thinking about Britain ) And you British dont really like a layer foam on your beer , like Dutch people have , do you ? And you people still start at 16 o clock , the regulars shuffling in those pubs , that is peculiarly early for a Dutchman . And of course a pool table , a sort of billiard . And there was also a darker colored type of beer on the Tap , Dark Ale ? and a Gill Kelly's sort , and a Guinness ? A long time ago , so memories are blurred a bit ( hazy is a good word here, I guess ), and not only by the alcohol , but as time flies . And the next day in the morning we used coffee combined with Alka Seltzer (= a sort of aspirin , but a bit stronger) in water , to rinse, or wash away, the typical pub hangover . It was a pleasure going there , in my good old glory days . So , for nostalgic old time's sake ..Could you possibly make me a very British pint , darling ?
Hi Katherine I adore binge watching your vlogs I am from West Yorkshire and our dialects change in only a matter of miles, I write books (never published one yet) and I enjoy your educational vlogs as they can often inspire me to use certain words and imagine certain characters speaking with RP such as the late Queen Elizabeth would do or your granny Hazel. I love how you touched upon londoners using darling a lot I have visited London probably 100 times and our pub talk is far different in the dales 😂 all the best for 2024. ☺️
Hello our beautiful ma'am we happy with your excellent teaching English speaking because you are very hard working for teaching English speaking to us because we are speaking fluently and it's ascribe you thank you so much
How are you doing mrs Katherine . I thank you for your wonderful cultural educational channel. Iam Arabic lady subscriber to several British and American RU-vid channels. We are as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level improve our English as well. I sent comments to you before . I looked up for meaning of words you mentioned briefly here it’s pub is public house for drinking establishment licensed to serve alcoholic drinks for consumption premises . Overheard means to hear without speaker knowledge or intention, synonyms spy , will tap. Land lady is woman who owns house , apartment, etc and rents to other people. Pint is pint of beer don’t expect to get pint of water or lemonade handed to you . Synonyms such as imperial liquid measure . In their 30s means their age range between 30and 39 . One man and his dog means almost nobody , very few people. Outro means short distinct closing section at end of something such as piece of music , performance, news report . We appreciate your great efforts both as none native and native speakers. Merry Christmas happy new year. Best wishes for you your dearest ones .
Thanks Katherine. I just subscribed your channel not long time ago and find it super useful and lively that can be applied to my daily life in UK. Love to seeing more videos of this type❤
Question.. what is the minimum age for a dad and his doughter to visit a pub in the UK? (I do not want to get drunk, just have a nice meal and show my little one the culture)
I think I have to visit a rural English pub. Stuck in London most of the time. I need to go out more. When I tend to get a break I go for holidays abroad. I guess I must start travelling all over UK. What are your favorite cities within UK, that you can recommend? I would follow your recommendation. Thank you DARLING 😉😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘😘❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ohh!!! It’s Katharine again today! 🥰 I’ve been dealing with my bad anxieties about the exams coming up next week and you are a refuge now, Katharine! I have exams for two weeks straight but I’m waiting for another video next Friday, as usual, like this one to save me from my fears. 😚 And it’s Christmas everywhere, right? 😀 I would love to hear something from you on Christmas in England, Katharine. Would it be possible for you to make content on that one? However, it’s completely a choice that I’m placing, and I know how busy you are, maybe you would have planned for some other topics... 👍 It’s totally okay - it would be really lovely though, to learn from you! ☺️ Hope you had a delightful week. 🥰 Keep shining like a star, and you actually are. ✨ Take care, Katharine! 🤗 Love you loads! 🥰❤️
@@englishwithkatharine Oh, I’m up for it, then! ❤ It’s always my pleasure to admire little things and also big things of course, and appreciate them! Thank you so much, Katharine! ❤ God bless! ☺️✨ Love ❤️❤️❤️
