Thank you for these awesome, easy to understand videos! Question; on the white board, should the neuter, plural ending for magnus be "magna," not "magni?" Just want to be sure I understand it correctly.

As I'm gearing up to guide students in their Latin journey next year, these videos are a great prep for me. Thank you! One question about the predicate adjective sentence. Most Latin verbs come at the end of the sentence, but with this sentence, est comes before the predicate adjective. Is that pretty common for Latin, or could the sentence also be Porta bona magna est?

Hi Barry... great question! You are right... Latin verbs usually come last in the sentence. However, with the verb "sum" in particular, it can come anywhere in the sentence. You'll often see it in the same position as it would be in English. But it could also come last (Porta bona magna est)... either would be correct. Just when you're starting to get the hang of it... they throw you a curve ball! Thanks for watching, and feel free to reach out again if you have any other questions/ comments :)
