Exactly. I play guitar, can't read music, can't tell you what mode I'm playing in, can barely tell you what key I'm in, only know the rudimentary major and minor scales and not even in all positions on the neck, but I've released 3 albums that sound like I wanted them to sound. Punk rock was all about picking up an instrument and playing it. We've lost that spirit.

@@kellenwilliamson861 Agree. The people who comment most are the ones who should be listening. I called a few of them out as never having plaid guitar. There is a generation that never actually does things outside of commenting, as bizarre as that sounds. I use the web as a tool to learn songs. I started learning in 1979 before all this, and it was really hard back then without information.

Yvette Young is one of the most inspirational guitarists of our generation. I rarely listen to the genres she primarily plays, but her playing and songwriting is so good and creative that I'm drawn to her work against my will. She makes me want to be more creative with my songwriting.

That comment response at the end was perfect. What I love about what you do is that you come at pedals from a totally different viewpoint. A viewpoint that can inspire guitarists to break out of their bubble and experiment.
