Amen to that. I'm 43, always wanted to do what you're doing, never had the courage, and was always stopped by thoughts of "what if..." Now I'm in my 40s, I deeply regret my lack of gusto. Go for it Ethan.. these are the memories you shall savour til your dying days. ❤
Ethan, I'm guessing that you accidentally pressed a button and changed the setpoint on your battery monitor -- you accidentally zero'd out the battery ammetter so you have an offset.. disconnect your solar panels, disconnect your inverter, and then read the manual of the battery monitor on how to "zero out the current".. follow that procedure, and then re-connect your inverter and solar panels..
Maybe consider get some tarmac/plastic sheeting, with eyelets, so you can bunggy or rope over the camper. I admire you, sometimes I wish I had the courage to travel, but I don't drive
Okay, Ethan recently broke up with his ex-boyfriend and he got stuck in the ditch. I hope Ethan will announce a "Heracles for Ethan" contest. Candidates need to lift up vehicles out of mud, provide electrical assistance, and expert in rain tarp covers. Bonus points if you can appear in You Tube Videos. Who can stand up for this challenge?
I have experience in this type of conundrum....but it involved moving railroad passenger equipment over a shrinking rail network which was relatively quickly jettisoning any passenger "support" facilities....oh and this was just prior to the widespread adoption of cell service/internet... everywhere! Travel was usually as a pair...but often solo...just as Ethan is currently experiencing! He is learning "on the fly"...and will eventually master the "visualize/plan ahead" situational awareness which is critical to success! Go Ethan!
❤ Ethan! I'm blown away by what you put your self through and call into your life! I'm afraid I couldn't handle it if I was all alone. Well, maybe having a pet like Peachy would be a driving force for me to survive those challenges. Really admire your strength, courage and bravery to keep forging ahead. You are pretty amazing! ❤🤗❤
The silicone and rubber seals go bad on those campersas they age. I have a motorhome and I had to remove my windows and re seal them so they would stop leaking. Also if you get a chance get you a good tarp from a hardware store or harbor freight. That way if you run into a random roof leak again in a down poor you can bunji cord it over the top of the camper until the rain stops. Hang in there. ❤
Great self rescue 😊. I never got stuck until I bought my first 4 wheel drive vehicle. We always push 4WDs past their limits. Welcome to the group. I love it, while you were stressing, Peach's tail was going 100mph. We can learn from that. Keep posting 😊
Live & Learn! So proud of you for figuring it out and doing the hard work to get yourself out instead of sitting there and crying out waiting for someone to come by and rescue you. You’re such a resourceful young man. I really like your creativity and positivity on your channel. And your sense of humor always makes me laugh. I always look forward to your posts. Even if not much has happened to you. Just you being yourself is entertaining. What’s up with the property you own in Colorado? Do you still own it? Is it too cold to stay there over winter? Smart of you to go south for winter. You could always head to someplace like Florida, that has lots of sunshine in the winter and is really inexpensive to live. Plus Hurricane season (June-Nov) is almost done in Florida. So now is the time to come.
Ethan, I’m very concerned about you being alone in precarious situations. Please make better choices in the future, there is strength in numbers, no need to go do everything alone.
Hi looks like the roof hatch and window need to come out and re-do the seal. Please don't use silicone, it fails after a few months. Either use sikaflex 221 or none setting window putty tape.
This is the type of man I need in my life. Seriously. Love me some Ethan. Been a Stan since the beginnings. This is nothing compared to past videos. Love you tons 🫂🫂🫂
I have a question for you. Do you have a solar panel on that vehicle? Solar panels can still generate electricity even on dark and cloudy days. The panels absorb hues reflected from the sky, allowing them to create power. I have lived off-grid for almost 15 years and wish I could teach you some things to make your life a bit less stressful and easier. One thing for sure, you can do this. You're young and every experience is a life lesson.
It's neither needed to show such things to anyone, nor is it needed to "act masculine" in itself .. like wtf. He was in a new stressful situation and dealt with it, it has nothing to do with being gay or masculine or proofing something to anyone or whatever, it's just life. It also would have been totally fine if he had asked someone for help.
Ethan you are an amazing young man, i honestly don't know how you cope with all the hassle that gets thrown at you, you are wise way beyond your years. Best wishes from England. 🏴❤❤❤
You should really purchase a small kerosene heater. It can heat your camper without electricity. They run for 10 -12 yours. We use them in the north to heat our homes when the power is out. That will help you buddy.
Love how you showed your license plate and then blocked it out. Be careful with that cause crazy’s can get so much information on that plate number. Stay safe.
Thank you for keeping sharing your life even through thos stressful situation. I actually hope it is a confort to know that even when you are aline you are actually reaching out to thousands of people!
It ´ s especially about those situations that you learn and grow. Keep calm and you will always find a solution. Great video Ethan, it ´ s always enjoyable to follow your adventures. Greetings from Belgium 🖤💛❤
Dang! Young Feller you did that very well with some Four-Wheel help. Honestly to me, from our vantage, I thought it was going to be a AAA moment. That issue with the solar charging system is/was* perplexing. (...I have yet to finish watching in order to find out if you got that settled...) I just felt so awful for your plight and so had hoped instead to see you were enjoying your visit there with a beautiful night sky. Sitting or lying on the picnic table with Peaches at your side, snuggled up to you. Giving you reassurance that she will protect you and give you peace of mind along with the warmth of her beating heart's love for you. She lies there with you in awe of the bright reflection from the millions of stars in the Milky Way lighting up your beautiful eyes in your charming and fresh youthful human face Edit p.s. ...you are still a "child" though you are certainly a maturing youth. Us that have come to the latter decade (or two, maybe three) of a long life see in you 'Childhood Blossomed' with the rigors of maturity still ahead. Be Safe Dear Ethan. May you always be protected by your Lucky Stars, Peaches and or fate that is ALL positive and if you prefer also by God... * [Got Glitch?]
Ethan you are stronger than you think. I am proud to see you carry on by yourself. You will meet Mr. Right when you least expect it. Make your and Peachy's life the best it can be and the rest will fall into place.
Ethan, I am also concerned with your situations regarding heating and power. Please try to invest in more batteries for more amp hours. You can also get an additional alternator specifically for dc to dc charging. I know things cost money, trust me, but its safety first. I can offer free electrical direction if you need it. Unfortunately I am in Florida, if not would help you install for free. You remind me of my little brother with his adventure attitude.
Quite an adventure. You should be proud of yourself. You didn’t panic but stayed calm and thought through the issues. Why was the window of the sink leaking?
Ethan, just another video demonstrating you are resourceful, imaginative, resilient, and emotionally composed. It would seem you are destined for a career helping others in need. ❤
Ethan, you are having a rough time of things of late. It feels there is a run of bad events. Please rethink the days ahead and how it is relating to your lifestyle. We worry for you. Thoughts are with you. 🙏🏼
💖Love you Ethan. Life on the road sounds like living in an older home. Sorry, you've run into a rough patch. Adapt and overcome. Somebody needs an Earthroamer Sponsorship
Ethan, you SHOULD be proud of yourself. You're one of the most resilient young men I've seen. Stay strong. Just think of all the great stories you'll have to tell to your children and grandchildren someday. Never boring.
Hi Ethan. You did really well in a stressful situation so you must be proud of yourself. However, please take care won’t you?! Especially when you’re on your own. You don’t want to be putting yourself in danger!
4 wheel drive is one wheel on the front axel (generally the Left.) and one wheel on the back axel, generally the right... If you have a Ford, you should have posi-track on the rear axel. That's where if one rear tire starts spinning it will switch to the other rear tire. If you have lockers on the rear then both rear wheels have power to them. Check your vin# with Ford to find out what drive system you have. As well as finding out what you can upgrade to... And I think you need a hug... You will discover you can do many things on your own... Have confidence in yourself... You are becoming a Manly Man...
Well done Ethan, you handled all that stress very well. It's good to know that you can trust yourself and your vehicle in some pretty dire circumstances.
Always have a very large tarp, i't's good as; a sun shade, gather rain water, can cover picnic table, privacy shade (shower), cover gear, broken windows, or YOUR ROOF!
Ethan, you are an inspiration. You are more self-reliant than even you know, and you prove it in every video. This was a great one! Thanks for the inspiration!
Kick Ass, Ethan!!!!! WOOOOOOO!! I've been in those "do or die" type situations myself and I got through them. So I completely understand that THRILL after you get through it ON YOU OWN! You learn that, as you said, you ARE quite capable (probably even more than you realized) of getting through unexpected stressful situations unscathed! Proud of you, friend! Can't wait to see what the east coast brings. ❤
❤️ All I can do is stand back in awe and admiration of you for what you go through and that you keep on going into another challenge and adventure! You are such an inspiration Ethan! ❣️✌️🫶
Ethan, you are incredibly resourceful; you always know how to get out of trouble no matter the messes you get yourself into. I’m 52, and I doubt I’d be able to manage as well as you do. Congrats on being so brave!
You are so strong and resourceful - I’m proud of you! That said, I don’t know if it’s such a good idea for you to go to such remote places by yourself. You saw how quickly things can suddenly change for the worse, and thank God things didn’t go much worse for you. But they could have and that worries me (and many of your fans who care for you so much). Please exercise caution, and keep relatively close to emergency services! ❤️❤️❤️
Ethan, get yourself some standard crappy BATH MATS from walmart and carry them with you with your jack etc. The top/nylon surface- your tires will grip - it won't slip on rock and limbs under your wheels because the bottom is rubber. You may need 2-3 because they will tear, but they can make the difference - simple coefficient of friction increase....good luck, Tim
Ethan it’s clear that long term you need a more permanent home or to replace that camper for an upgrade. Please start planning or fundraising for this, fans can help x
It's either that or an amphibian truck. An amphibian makes for more free showers. An automatic flip lever for when the truck is totally wheels up would do wonders, too. cheers! / CS edit: I'm through with the video now. Good job, Ethan! You got yourself out of it. I must confess I was a bit tempted to rib you about this is what you get for yadayadayada... But I realised that if I did that I'd be a complete bastard. But I still think that the automatic flip lever would be a good idea.😁 I wish you all the best. / CS❤
Congratulations. You did more than I ever could, although desperate circumstances to make your body and mind do things you never thought they were capable of. Well done! Stay safe.
