Now this was a proper sinking episode. No scuttle features, no too obviously scripted sinks, visually great (gotta love those arctic storms in this game) and the use of photomode to check your ship instead of actually going to see yourself was fairly minimal. And the ship was a proper ship with real interior instead of just this huge empty space that makes sinking such a ship always really boring. Always a joy to see one of these.

Imagine using that in multiplayer that would be awesome

A tragic news story from the Artic today, as the black box recorder frkm the missing one man icebreaker vessel "Artrega" has been found, the vesselreported a hull breach to the Norwegian coastguard during a freak weather event just three days ago and a search and rescue has been underway. The vessel was reported to have had a helicopter and life boat accompanying the vessel but it has speculated that both of their magnetic locks failed, causing the helicopter to fall into the sea and the life boat fail to deploy from the sinking vessel. These magnetic failures caused the helmsman to be thrown overboard into the icy sea as he tried to release the lifeboat. His remains have yet to be found.

There was an update where dynamic ice bergs (the ones that move around) now did damage to your ship. You even talked about it in another artic sink video. You must of forgot.

Camodo, I'll weigh in on your build episode thoughts here. Stormworks is seafaring biased. You have more range and use out of a boat than you do out of a plane. Sure a helicopter is the most versatile, but it's also hard to maintain (fuel, cargo, durability, reliability). So building a large hub ship (one to launch other crafts from or transport stuff) would benefit you more. You need a box within a box within a box within a box for OB though.

Camodo this idea is pretty cool to me you should try to build a miniature ice breaker with a loud fog horn or maybe even like a speed boat. I feel like that would be pretty cool.

1:00 No good Icebreaker has a bulbous bow, it would quickly destroy the front of the ship with how ice slams into it. For the Ship to be a true icebreaker, the Bow should be almost gently sloping downwards towards the keel so the ice is forced under the ship, and is broken by the ship's weight and the ice wanting to float upwards.

I believe the water clipping through the ship bug is caused when a room has an openning that is not a door, the game thinks the object is the exterior deck of a ship and lets water run through freely.

Oh god you kept walking past the pillar with the switch for the helicopter tie-down over and over again and I was screaming at the screen the whole time... IT'S RIGHT THERE AHHHH!

puts one strap on the helecoptor ignoring the other three, "that should hold" later: helecopter falls into the water "I wish there was some sort of way to lock it in place"
