This song was used in the 7th season finale of the original "Magnum P.I." television show. The episode was titled "Limbo". It was so appropriate as the show dealt with Magnum lying in the hospital in a coma. He can see but cannot communicate with the important people in his life - almost like a dream.
@Billy-zv6gv IMDB says she didn't appear until the 7th episode of the final season "A Girl Named Sue". That was after her previous guest role in Season 4, Episode 14, "Rembrandt's Girl". Some really great guest stars during that show's run.
Thank you, I needed a little John Denver this evening. He was my mother's favorite, and thus the soundtrack to my childhood. My parents loved camping, and every time I hear him, I think about our camping trips through Colorado and up to Yellowstone. It's like having them back for a few minutes - and at the same time being transported to the side of a mountain.
We all die, but not everyone really lives. He was always reaching further outside his comfort zone. His music takes me on a journey, showing me what he sees, introducing new ways of thinking, and the interesting people. He lifts me up. I remember his work in different genres (folk, country, pop, new age, adult contemporary). His legacy lives on in his music and in those that were affected by his songs. I dare to say that he will be touching new lives fifty years from now.
Words cannot describe how devastated I was (and still am) that he passed away. His music is so soothing and beautiful. His voice soars like an eagle.....🎶🦅
A beautiful reminder of how incredibly talented John Denver was. His vocals, so rich and full, tender but yet so deep in quality. Many summer days, I find myself singing, " Sunshine on my shoulders", ❤ This song another sweet song by John, such a lovely melody, with incredible strings surrounding his incredible voice. So sweet. Great reaction Harri ❤ Thanks Craig. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦
I love John Denver’s music! And that has always been one of my favorites. Of course, everything he sings is great and he has such a large catalog! I got to see him in concert around 1978 and it was fantastic! He is truly missed!
Speaking of John Denver's voice, here is a favorite cover of an Australian traditional song, live, where I think his voice really stands out. Live from Australia, just his voice and his guitar... John Denver - "Moreton Bay".
Know what u mean. But seem he left this world the way he wanted. He was another unique soul who could make you travel to places and appreciate them without taking your feet off the ground. Not to mention reminding us how precious the earth is.
It was, Thomas was lying in a coma and looked like he might die at the end of the season and this was the song they used in the episode, it always makes me think of that show.
A JD Day is a good day. Another lesser known pair of light hearted John Denver "Grounded" that that kids love... "Home Grown Tomatoes" & "Grandma's Feather Bed"
A great song of Johns is "Love is the master", he sings about where his life is and camping in the mountains with some good ole boys. great song to react to!
John Denver was one of a kind! You knew it when you heard one of his tunes by his singing voice and his beautiful family friendly music R.I.P. John, I don't think you were appreciated as much as you should have been!!!
John was such a masterful artist, he could take a perfect performance, and actually improve upon it live! Check out the live version from the Sydney Opera House in 1977. A really jaw dropper if you know how hard this song is to sing!
John Denver told us his feelings on his looming death in his song "Poems, Prayers and Promises". Granted, the song was released a couple of decades before his final flight, but the lyrics are still appropriate. Requiescat in pace , our bespectacled sage and poet emeritus.
Love it. One of my dad's favorites. As always, thank you Harri, you're the Best. I know I sound like a broken record, but you really help me hear and appreciate music 🎶 ❤
Hi Harri. Thanks for reacting to John's music. Keeping it alive. The one song I hope you react to is Poems Prayers and Promises. It's probably John's best work, and also one of his favourite songs. Thanks Harri.👍
H Harri! 💜🙏😎 You showed up on my phone while I was taking an epsom salts bath…such a pleasant surprise, and you were listening to Kenny Rankin, one of my all-time favorite song stylists…❤…The other cool dude I love is Michael Franks, and his song Popsicle Toes was a hit, but his other songs are also classics, so play some of his if you would. You’ll love him too. 💞The other artist I still listen to, and I still feel her work is Laura Nyro…I’m new to your channel, but I love your show…I love your vibe…and me at a young 69, I look forward hearing your stuff-thx so much Harri! I thought it was just me, who even knew about Kenny and Michael; at least I didn’t know anyone who was listening to them personally…💝🌈🕺🙏🤗
Hi Harri, really enjoying your reactions, and I would love to hear what you think of Dear God by XTC. It’s a bit of an anti-religion pop song from the 80s. Pretty good too
Two of the greatest actors whose greatest talents lies in being able to pace to the storyline of a movie from start to finish would surely has to be Robert de Niro and Jack Nicholson. Here the 7th house is accentuated. 7th deals with the outside world world where we interact with others in an even rhythmic pace. Just think of Robert de Niro. Vall his roles depict the rhytm of life. Even when he does eventually go into a tangent, he is expert in building up a climax like Cape Fear when started as a family friend. For films where he is pitted with great odds like Raging Bull, a melodious and rhythmic free n rasy background classical music fills the entire (7th house rules classical music. The 7th house rules also death like. Situations but usually can be overcomed too ane syes come out unscathed like The Deer Hunter or in Joker where he plays a bridge between the same audience and the near totally breakdown of a person who slowly became a Joker. But make no mistake. 7th house has its killing moments like Taxi Driver but even in that show, he started out as an ordinary bloke. Jack Nicholson has two shows which has the word Easy in it's title -, Five Easy Pieces and Easy Rider. The former shows how one tackles life and the latter ends in a tragedy. In Chinatown,, it shows how the alley people can con him. Something like a cat and mouse game. Even in the cuckoo show, it was about using a strategy to get outt of asylum. 7th is the 11th or gains to the 9th house of. Archetypes. Jack in About Schmidt plays an ordinary bloke which does not follow any standard archetype (the roles Meryl plays are usually standard archetypes but she adds embellishment to them). 7th house is also 3rd or struggle to the 4th house of gearing your consciousness to novel situations. So Robert plays novel situations which has an element of struggle - even in Cape Fear he puts forth a lot of effort to gain the family trust. 7th house usually excludes period dramas. It covers more the modern world we live in So Anthony Hopkins un The Lion In Winter and The Remains of the Day would not come under this category. Neither his horror movie Silence of the Lamb (7th house has no supernatural elements/ and his role in The Father is excluded too )7th house is about John Doe but who can s care of himself. Al Pacino acting in larger than life characters having to make a momentous decision like in Serpuco is out too nor his relentless pursuit of justice in And Justice Fir All. Ofe to the 7th house and the actors classified under this house.
I sent you. An email but I can't forget To say this, but please, please. You have to listen to the brand No song from bruno mars in lady gaga. It is absolutely....Awesome ❤
All Hindus know that we descended from the Saptarishis + the seven sages represented by the seven stars in the Big Dipper constellation So what does Dr Pillai mean when he talk about archetypes? You see 12th house is man's meditation on the cosmod. When man started having a family, he started meditating on his immediate environment which is familiar to him so as to protect his loved ones. His inner being also starts getting explored. This is how Vedic culture or Hinduism started. So 4th house can be considered the roots of man. 10th house is the way people see you from afar as a professional guy 7th house is the mid-point the marketplace where you interact with others and people form an opinion about you. 9th house the God house is the house of archetypes where you are are classified into one of the Hindu Gods. From the 4th house of various innerselves, a group of them would be classified into one of the archetypes. So the God's you read in Hindu scriptures you can treat them as history bu they are also eternal truths not bound by space and time. Successful actors if musicians can portray strong archetypes like ajosqin Phoenix as Joker or John Denver as a man with a rustic style but with a touch of modernity but always longing to go back to the country. People who have a weak sense of who they are ie. the 4th house, usually portray the God which they represent poorly. Like you may look like Krishna who likes to sung and dance Ft Pillai has always said that in order to manifest, you have to take from your inner unconscious mind which is the God's mind and speak it out in words. From there the words become forms. So there is no difference between words and forms and this is in charge by Goddess Saraswati. She is in charge of the arts and actors and musicians has this inner ability to use their God's mind productively. 12th is the unconscious mind, 3rd is both the conscious and unconscious mind and is the house of desires, 6th is the conscious mind were we tackle everyday mundane tSks........... And lastly the 5th is the mind were we can switch to different consciousness all created unconsciously from ideas in the 12th house the unconscious mind. If an actor or musician works solely from the 5th house, he becomes a great actor or musician. you do not have an enliven character.
Only 4 houses represent a career in the arts + the 4rd, the 5th and the 11th. Meryl Streep for the 9th and Jack Nicholson and de Niro for the 7th are special cases. 3rd represents only a recording artiste. If you are an actor you only make movies for DVD. 5th represents the accomplished artiste who has carved out a distinction for yourself. Ig you got booked for a tie slot in a bookstore to sign autographs and people swoon when they heard that, then you are in the 5th house. They do not much care the book you have written. For them the content of the book is of secondary importance. The 11th house gives a stage performer which means an adoring audience in front of you while perform..also if you present a topic using Zoom then you are in the league of a sage performer. Somehow Zoom with the Live Chat makes everything looks grand. Cinematic actors from the 6th house people adore for what you bring to the screen. It is like the persona signing autographs for the launching of the new book. Theatre and concert performers can reach legendary status partly also they take a bow when everything is finished. If they did their job well audiences would throw bouquet of flowers at him. 11th house represents the 11 Rudra born out of Shiva:s soul. They are divine beings but still beings like humans so audiences feel a close connection to them - something up close s d personal Even if one day they lose their voice or acting skills, people would go to the nursing home to see them unlike the 5th house where actors are soon forgotten once they dot act forany years. If you manage to combine the skills of the 4th house with your stage presence of the 11th house, you can make musical biopics Rami Malek in Bohemian Rhapsody did just that but unfortunately his skull set did not age well like fine wine. It comes across as more goofy and quirky. But his stage presence was magnificent 11th house covers having relations with the government and the standing committees. Michelle Yeoh's ties with the 11th house of various social groups like fashion, the Olympics, the relieving of world wide hunger etc She has strong connections with the government. Her acting style is a bit stylised like Katherine Hepburn who works heavily in theatres 11th house performers can be very exhausted after a hard day"s work. They can also feel very lonely with all the jet setting. 6th is the house where you tackle the work alone and 11th being the 6th of the 6th, the person feels alone in the crowd. He only makes use of the crowd or groups for his work effort and to a certain extent the audience"s feedback as a gauge of his work accomplishment
Ft Pillai has always said that in order to manifest, you have to take from your inner unconscious mind which is the God's mind and speak it out in words. From there the words become forms. What is Channelling? It goes one step further than mantra or teaching initiated. It is initiated so that you become a vessel if that particular God, you must possess certain attributes which the Guru tried to find out A free thousand dollars may be in order. Performing miracles is just like having the spirit channelled in you but one step down In the Christian tradition, Jesus channelled the Holy spirit to his disciples only after he resurrected from his crucifixion through Ascension to Heaven. Hinduism has no such constraints As you may have guessed, channelling involved the 9th house of the God's and the 11th house where you gain a pice of body from channelling that is dire t link from God. People with the 9thd 11th Lord's combined, even if they have no involvement with spirituality, tends to be like Superman or Superwoman
