That's SO CRAZY to say, cause I remember growing up, being helpful to someone was a must and it was instilled in us to help someone in need if needed. And I know you were just saying that schools need to teach humility and compassion but it's a shame that people have to get taught to show compassion???

The fact that so many people just walked by and those that just stood there shows how far as a society the world has fallen into despair. So many have lost their civility.
Disgraceful behaviour. There isn't anything exceptional about the ones that helped the man. They did what all people should do. I can’t believe how many people walk by and just look! You see these videos over and over. More and more I do believe that helping people is ingrained in you. As a former health care professional I can’t imagine not helping in whatever way is needed. This is just unacceptable. 😞

acts of kindness are very humbling to watch, but I have noticed how many people who are offered a gift as a thank you, try to refuse it.....I have learned that accepting graciously any gifts that are given has a powerful impact. Learning how to receive is as important to learn how to give! I was still surprised at how many people saw this man and walked past!

Most people suck these days, but there’s hope. I was in the checkout line at the grocery store today. I was having a hard day after taking my dog to the vet. His meds and shots were so expensive that I had to use most of my grocery money for the week and I was upset also because he is sick. The young cashier hugged me and actually offered to use her paycheck to pay for anything I needed. I didn’t accept because I will make do, but she was very serious. I have her number and she actually texted me to see if I felt better and asked about my sweet dog. Unbelievable and I am still in awe.
It depends. Where I'm from you need to be constantly on alert for traps. Because sadly I live in a world where someone may try to pickpocket me when I bend over to help someone else out. Combine all that that with a blind man with no walking stick or assistance looking for set of sunglasses sets so many alarm bells.
This is our society...most can be bothered for a few seconds to help someone in need. I am surprised that nobody whipped out a smartphone to record him to mock him.
It’s so sad to see people not have any compassion for people that are in situations that they don’t understand. It doesn’t cost you nothing to be nice. Nice has never close the door, but will open up every door because of her kindness. She was blessed she didn’t ask for, but she showed compassionto the compassion and our lives thank you for sharing this. I hope someone will get the message because nothing never matters to you until it touches you personally I hope this touched someone personally that they make an action like this Young Lady did she may not get the reward that she did, but God will reward you even greater when you look over and look out for the least of them.

Kann es nicht glauben, dass so viele vorbei gegangen sind. War in Berlin mit dem Kinderwagen unterwegs. Ständig hat jemand geholfen, obwohl ich und meine Mutter da waren. Hätten eigentlich keine Hilfe gebraucht. Trotzdem halfen die Menschen.
I have four granddaughters from 15 to 27 years old! And i know them so well that i know they would have rushed to help! One is in last years of medical school, the 21 years is going to start her Masters and rescues little birds that fall out of trees in her campus, buys bird food with her food budget and rescued a gecko once ! and the other two highschoolers are the same as their cousins! Good people are most cherished and when they are young people they bring us hope for a better tomorrow!
