I think the mentality of the cheerleader and your crush were different. This one wanted to support others and used cheerleading to do so, while most cheerleaders are vein and seek it to grab attention. And for Keiichi not mentionning it is his sister, yes it is true. However, he wasn't of the mindset to believe he could date others thanks to his parents' teachings (narcisısm). Or the one where he picked up his sister, that one was the fact he was introverted and feared getting attention. Either way, their reactions of gagning up on him didn't help either.
I like how in the 2nd story they say that the protagonist and his sister looking nothing alike when they have the exact same eyes, hair color, and facial structure lol.

When is the writers gonna stop forcing the MC to be bullied into dating? Its ok to have a character persist in an appropriate way, but each time its always so cringe in the wrong way. Also when is the MC ever gonna say no and not get bullied into participating into things they are uncomfortable situations? this is too common in many shows in general and honestly, I want to see something new. I know someone is gonna say watch something else. First of all, back off. Second, I am just trying to get some creative juices flowing and stop following trends that dont work. Well, more like overused. Have the MC say now, give him a girl that isnt ego driven and have an actual character arc, even if the manga is short. Development is always a must and I see things go backwards and the so called love that was claimed is a false and forced one. I want to see these kinds of channels to grow and to not constantly repeat the same trend over and over. Cuz realistically, any self respecting guy, even if they dont, would outright refuse to be pushed into anything they dont want to do. now if the scene needs them to be there, there are many ways to get them to go there. its a romcom manga, the entire point is romance lol, i get your point and i really agree, but because this is a romcom manga, they will date each other regardless, thats why people watch romcom mangas, if the protagonist just didnt date the girl in the end, the entire point of the romcom would be worthless.

Anyone is brain dead if all they can do is put labels on others without at least giving a person a chance. Though its high school love so its already something that becomes a waste of time for most people or ends in unhappy marriages or divorce. I'm biased on teen love cause its like people who have no idea what the real world is like and think that just because they have each other everything will be alright. Especially when they go form always being around each other at school to barely seeing each other once they start to work. I got off subject though so my bad but most people cant learn to communicate with their partner or share their concerns or goals and just bottle them up till its to late.
