Absolut! Skall försöka åka på en trackday här i Sverige innan Nürburgring, men annars blir Nürburgring debuten för bromsarna. Lär se video från Autotop samt Misha på detta!
Awesome! For anyone that want a bit cheaper option for the brakes. I made bracket to fit the alfa 166 brembo calipers. These go with 330x28 discs. Back on topic. Do you think an upgraded brake booster wil help?
Well the brake master cylinder from evo 7 does not fit on my volvo brake booster, but it looks like the evo 7 brakebooster fits with 0 modification on the car. Therefore i change it aswell, i do not think it will aid in brakeperformance. Only the master brake cylinder. Nice on the Alfa brakes! Would not spend this money if i knew before how expensive it would be!
Nice, you noted down some tips last year. 😉 But I must say, pretty expensive kit tbh. I'm pretty sure a decent disc as EBC GD, ferodo DS2500 pads, Motul RBF600 and some air ducting would have cost you around 700-1000 euros and would give you decent performance. But you upgraded to an amazing brake system, you will have stopping power and your braking limits are endless now.
Yeah just pads and fluid is ALMOST enough for track use (Light medium track use) if you can get OEM size discs that are ventilated and pull air ducts to them you should be good for heavy track use. But since im planning on running 400-480hp and want the car to be completely built for it, this was a nice reliable upgrade. Plus i bought everything brand new.
Hey man, ive got evo 3 calipers on mine and cannot get a solid brake pedal, always very spongey. Have bled it many times and power bled it too. Can you confirm if an evo 3 master cyl is a direct fit? Or another good master for it? Is braided lines, all new calipers, new abs module etc is the only thing left i think. Cheers and thanks
@@BarbecuedPossum you need to turn the car on and have it running when bleeding air so the abs is working and releasing air/brakefluid. Test to push the brakepedal inbetween of bleeding.
@@perfectedpursuit Tried that before :( Will try it again see if anything changes. You have stock booster? I think it may be worth changing just to rule it out but if can upgrade it, then is worthwhile
@BarbecuedPossum i guess the stock booster and cylinder is quite spongy and weak. Currently upgrading to an evo 7 brake booster and cylinder, there is a little bit of modifying required, cutting welding the booster arm to the brake pedal and changing the brake line nippels for the cylinder. But the booster bolts up to the chassis perfectly
@@perfectedpursuit ohhh damn.. yeah I was hoping that an evo 1-3 booster would just be bolt on, as they share a lot of parts as x40 platform. My other car is an evo 7 :) funny how things pan out
@BarbecuedPossum im sure evo 1-3 is bolt on but probably the same size so not an upgrade, evo 7 is the largest size cylinder, with my brakes it is the "safest" option as i need far more liquid to get pushed around
