Yes Meg it looks good !!hope it helps you on your travels, nice you have good friends to help you out it’s another good video, nice to watch Take care all
You can never go wrong with a windshield or fairing I myself didn't like it at first the look of it and stuff like that because I rode Sportsters my my whole life but once I got my Heritage Classic it had to have a fairing put on it and I'm telling you I absolutely love it I will never own another bike without one especially if you're going to travel. It's all the difference in the world you will love it
Very cool of Memphis Shades to offer their product for you to install! Looks great! Ride with pride and keep the shiny side up, and continue to enjoy the journey!
Can not wait for your next one one Sunday night. Wish we had better riding weather this holiday weekend. Monday is the only good day for it. Memorial Ride n Service @ the Wall on Hanover Street in Baltimore City may be on . You may want to look it up n see. I hope to get at least one ride in this Holiday Weekend. Good luck trying to. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down n RIDE SAFE.
Meg, Once again totally committed right from the beginning. You attack new things that are out of your comfort zone and get it done! It is great that you have supportive friends and that you want to learn and that they want to help. Keep up the great work it looks fantastic and so do you. As always Ride Safe!! You are an inspiration!
The new fairing looks great! As always, Cameraman is the best! His closeup shots are perfect! Now Meg, as for your jokes - well, they do work. Just don't give up your day job!
Looked a little challenging install. Hats off to everyone pitching in and pressing through. Fairing looks great and a good idea to add your signature rose.
Greetings from Australia, Meg and Cameraman. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. So, Factory parts. Great vids. Great bikes and great figure. :)
The new fairing & windshield looks cool 😎👍 Ive also stripped bike stuff before and had to get drills out & use blow torches etc. The factory sometimes do overtighten stuff. The cow 🐮 & Mushroom 🍄 jokes were a shocker 🤣 Nice shot by cameraman with the water blaster. Great video.
Definitely looks better than stock(oem)...gives a meaner look...great work installing...you only get better with experience....and still looking beautiful as always...keep up the great work
I LOVE riding without a fairing or windshield, but here in Oregon it is hard to ride more than 5 minutes without eating a bug. So I just ride full-faced. Awesome video! 😁
I thought this will be fun and the moment you started opening the packet I started laughing, god help me, put your tea down Glenn.😂. It was fun, thanks for a good laugh.😁😁🇬🇧 Thanks for some great camera work .Cheers mate 😁🇬🇧
It’s always nice seeing others have problems when trying to make something easy happen. Screws love getting in the way of a quick problem. Always enjoy your working as a team and keeping it real. That shirt said more than some think, but that’s my Army and teacher side speaking about our rights.
Great job with the video guys keeps us watching you guys are amazing I just purchased a Memphis shade hopefully I get it installed as well as you guys did.
Thank you! We are so glad you enjoy our content. We have a great working relationship and I couldn’t ask for a better partner because we have been lifelong friends so we have a way of working through any issues that arise.
Looks awesome! Obviously I am skipping around and have seen your fairing since you had the roses and MMJ put on but I hadn’t seen the installation video yet. I LOVED when Cameraman called your name and got you to look and smile at 22:54!!! So cute…of both of you! Cheers!
I fought a windshield for a long time. When I finally installed one and went for a ride, I was amazed. The wind doesn’t whip your head back and forth with a windshield. I also noticed that I didn’t feel fatigued after a long ride. It looks good on your bike.
I've ridden with and without, and vastly prefer with. Makes the ride much more comfortable, and having a wind break extends my New York riding season by weeks. I read an article about a guy who was riding in Florida in heavy, fast traffic, and got hit by a ball peen hammer that fell from a truck, bounced once, and hit center of his polycarbonate windshield. If he hadn't had it, he'd have been hit in the chest or head, and he and his wife would've probably been killed. That convinced me. 👍
@@tedbownas2748 Wow! Actually I’m surprised things like that don’t happen more often. Or maybe they do but we just don’t hear about it. They just label it as a rider mistake. Be safe out there Ted.
Awesome to see you keep getting in the and doing the work! It takes practice, NO ONE gets it all right away! But with those guns you'll be just fine. Lol bike looks awesome!
Great content, sharp bike and since I'm considering installing some type of windshield on my Fury I stumbled across this. However I found myself admiring your tattoo and was distracted somewhat, regardless I loved the entire video thanks for sharing!!!
I had some pinstriping done by LetterFly. He is an old school pinstriped. All his work is done free hand, no stencils. He will be at Gettysburg Bike week. Letterfly Pinstriping will be at: “Ride of the Patriots” Patriot Harley-Davidson Fairfax, VA May 25 - 31 “Stripe It Up Days” Harley-Davidson of Frederick Frederick, MD June 1 - 6 “Vintage Bike Show” All American Harley-Davidson Hughesville, MD June 15 - 20 “Stripe It Up Days” Old Glory Harley-Davidson Laurel, MD June 22 - 27 “Fourth of July” Battlefield Harley-Davidson Gettysburg, PA June 29 - July 4 “Bike Week” Battlefield Harley-Davidson Gettysburg, PA July 6 - 11

Interesting guy’s these thing’s are never straightforward and sometimes to many cooks can slow things down. But it looks cool however for me it does need a splash 💦 of the red someway so it doesn’t look like an after thought 💭 . Cheers guy’s another good one . : )
memphis shades make a bunch of really nice products for just about every bike. they are are a great fit and look (and incredibly functional). ps. dont feel bad... harley screws are notorious for stripping. they have been the bane of my existence more than a few times. invest in a good stripped screw removal kit
Thank you! That makes me feel better. This is the second one I’ve had an issue with. I’m appreciative that Memphis Shades reached out. They were awesome to work with!!
What you lack in motorcycle knowledge (you really don’t) you make it up in let’s say Personality? lol Megalicious!! Now that I got my fix, you guys have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Ha Meg, Good Vid. This one has me still chuckling..... Fun guy. Ok ,Anywho, for those of you working with Billet Aluminum parts.: Tech tip, ...Most Billet aluminum parts are Hard-coat Anodized after manufacture. The other method is called ; Alodining. Alodining is a cheap-mans method of coloring, like say Gold colored aluminum window frames. Hard-coat Anodizing puts a 0.005" ~ 0.007" layer of super-tough Aluminum oxide on the surface of the aluminum. This makes the aluminum Scuff resistant, But.... It does not protect the aluminum from mechanical deformation... AKA ... over tightening of Steel Machine-screws and Bolts into Aluminum parts. So in the instance where Meg was trying to loosen off the Torx, (??), head bolt on the old Light cowling......Back the bolt 'out' normally till it starts to stick, .... turn it back 'in' a quarter turn and then spray it with penetrating oil. Let the spray work its way in...(Say 3 minutes) ...then snug the bolt back to its staring point of being tight, then remove the Ratchet wrench from the extension and then give the extension a couple a good quick taps with a hammer to smack the bolt head inward. This is usually enough to re-align the threads enough that the bolt is in, (and free up any corrosion), so that the hard-coating doesn't fracture and Gall the threads..... making removal almost impossible. FYI ....( The only way to tell if your parts are anodized is to check them with an Ohm-meter. Anodized Aluminum will show as " infinite- ohms" resistance or Very high meg-ohms resistance, Alodined parts will have a resistance of say 1000 ohms up to maybe 20 K ohms, and raw Billet Aluminum ( 6061 T6 or say 7075....) will show maybe 10 ~ 500 ohms. depending on the alloy, etc.). Anywho ..... Ciao, .... Stay Safe
I admit I had install issues with my Memphis shades fat windscreen first they sent the wrong hardware causing my first bolt to cross thread finally got the right hardware but now the bolt is cross threaded but it's in and works lol 😆
Jesus....Thank god you covered the fender loI was cringing with nothing covering the tank while you guys were working so close to it with ratchets and wrenches lol
Nice video 👍, I gotta say that you're at least learning about the tools and willing to attempt to work on your bike. We all learn from mistakes. Memphis Shades looks great.
@@megsmotorcyclejourney regardless if you guys do anything with johns road glide it’s still amazing content I’ll be here to tune in for the uploads ! Keep up the hard work personally I just love baggers 😂that’s just me though !
@@megsmotorcyclejourney ..very welcome,...perhaps you can rally all your scrubers, etc together to promote the 2A, so we as AMERICAN citizens can take a stand against those powerful groups that seek to take away OUR constitutional rights. ..hope ya'll have a great weekend,...ride safe... 😎😎
Looks great!! Not sure how much wind that it going to stop.. I like it though Keep up the good videos. Cameraman.... why wasn’t the wet shit shown in the video...;(
Not sure what they were working on, I was highly distracted by the unpainted ceiling.. why is there so many that don’t paint their ceiling in the USA???
Hi Megan I liked your fairing and you and cameramans antics !! And the dumb jokes.heres a dumb joke for you two. I saw a guy the other day with a scrabble game. He dropped it on the road .I said hey man what's the word on the street !!🥸 Megan good idea for roses on your fairing .Rich.
Great vid Meg....that fairing looks sharp...makes me nervous when you ride so close to the yellow lines...all it takes is one idiot....have fun kiddo !!
Actually it is best to ride off center of the lane towards the yellow line a bit. The middle of the lane is to be avoided, that is where oil residue shows up from leaking cars and trucks and can cause loss of control of a motorcycle. If a car is approaching in the opposite lane I will then move over.
@@Lorenzodaddy I knew that but thx for the heads up I didnt suggest riding in the middle for that reason....hence::: thats why its always darker in the middle of the lane and on the far side of a "dip"....gravity my friend gravity...!!
You stripped the head of that fastener????? By the way, it's a bolt, not a screw. OEM stands for Original Equipment Maufacturer. Used to describe either what came already installed on the product or replacement and service parts and consumables bearing the manufacturer's brand or coming from their factories/assembly stock/suppliers.
Looking good again Meg. Keep it up. Maybe one you may want a sound system for your motorcycle. I recommend STEEL HORSE AUDIO.Com. Look them online. It will sound great blowing down the highway @ top speed hearing that music over them exaust pipes. Keep riding, keep in touch for upcoming rides & let me know. Remember it’s all about the riding & good times with your friends & all good people.
@@megsmotorcyclejourney I recently put a fairing screen on my bike? I thought it take me 5 mins? Lol 😂 had similar problems to you! Some clips and screws? Nightmare
