@@westswell2757 true its usually just the little kids who have zero skatepark etiquette and that is understandable, I mean how can SKATERS of all people try to kick you out from somewhere most of the time I have found its just some poser who isn't even skating that are the ones to try and tell others the rules about this.
@@asjbfjbkaw nope the trucks don't carve deep lines in the opposite direction of the drop in ledges and curbs. The skateboard trucks carve into the concrete in the direction of travel so you don't get caught up
@@westswell2757lol yes we do. Our trucks grind in the direction of travel. Skate 2 sections of curb and blast through the transition from one section to the next and not get caught up

Funk bros I’ve been watching you since you started and I miss the days when you were in your parents house filling trampolines with stuff and I have always dreamed of meeting you and talking to you and I wanna thank you for all the memories and especially over Covid you guys got me through it and I would love if you guys respected to this or atleast liked it like that would mean the world to me
In the 1980s when snowboarding was gaining popularity, skiers widely hated snowboarders and didn't want them on the ski slopes. Now they are both entirely integrated. I see that exact course of events happening today with scooters and skateboarders. The same thing also happened with hikers and mountain bikers. History always seems to repeat itself, and we never really learn from it. It's crazy that people still default towards segregation just because they don't like something different. It's really not that deep I should go to bed now.
personally i think that every skatepark should allow scooters that dont fold because they can be a safety hazard but normal scooters that dont fold, come on that is a bit ridiculous
Washington St. In San Diego is probably one of the most toxic places to try to ride. As a blader, I've never bothered stepping foot inside. Not worth getting stabbed for trying to skate a decrepit man made park
I'm pretty sure a lot of the scooter hate is from years ago when it wasn't as prominent, along with scooters being easily accessible to younger children who don't understand the etiquette of riding a skatepark like most skateboarders learn from the get go.
Main reason is they don't wait for their turn. Scooter kids more often then not just roll around and get in the way. Or they snake you every time you go to do your line and then their parents freak out on you for telling them to wait their damn turn
Sponsors being butt hurt about people poaching footy is a joke. Don't skate in a well known park and expect no one has their phone out. Skate at night or find another spot. It's not like sponsors have private parks and can get permits for shoots lol
I think for the park after Venice beach I do understand that maybe when your riding and coming down on like wood maybe the wheels on a scooter might to more damage as you forsure can get it higher and it’s coming down on on 2 hard wheels and they are more pointed compared to skate boards. That being said I can only imagine that for wood and like I don’t agree with the no scooter rule that’s just like my opinion from what I know. As I’ve definitely sent my scooter wheels into some plywood on my grass before
Breh us poor INLINE BLADERS and SCOOTER RIDERS be going thru the most 😔 Shit DUMB AF Yet EVERY time a skateboarder at ANY park in Cali sees me/the crew come in and start immediately shreddin, 4 grind switch ups on long rails, fakie 720s out the bowls, misty flips etc. It’s ALL GOOD then 😂 🤯 Like just show LOVE wtf
I really wish there was more scooter riding other than talking. bring back the good old funk videos where it was just raw scooter clips. that made a 20 min video
Most skate parks are fine for scooters it's just that this one has a low concrete roll in. Since a scooters deck is lower down, it scratches the concrete ob the way in.
had an orange mongoose scooter now i got some credo sport scooter thats pretty decent, just needs new wheels and griptape, possibly a new clamp, but its whatever
I was an anti scooter skater, but if we switch 9/10 we couldn't come close to anything each other could do. We just want park/spots we can go to and enjoy.
Idk about that anyone decent at skating can get on a scooter for the first time and tail whip in a couple tries but a scooter rider can get on a skateboard for the first time and will have a hard time riding around comfortably.
As a skater of 20 or so years... I think... No, I know the reason "we hate scooter kids". It's anyone that doesn't know how share the space for other riders. It is the little kids that fly thru without a care in the world and the parents that don't know to teach them proper skatepark etiquette. We NEVER have cared what you ride. (or how good you are) just do your sh!t and get the hell out of the way for the next guy.
If there was a bill that was passed you should have the documentation on hand and a quick Google search just show the attendant that he's breaking the law by not letting you in
