Oh my that looked amazing. The eggs just right for doing a dippy chip. One magic fry up.

We were getting ready to eat tonight......I ended up having a steak and salad baguette home made of course. You know what when you have something you fancy it tastes twice as good. Great video the sausages looked really good.

I use to go here every day for lunch when I worked in Holborn. Really nice food.

You know what? I had my suspicions you were a chef but never knew for definite. Like you I’ve worked in all areas of the industry since I was 16 but prefer front of house. That breakfast looked quality and people will always go back for places like that.

Hi Darren. How you doin? It might be raining but you always bring a ray of sunshine! Not keen on them placing the eggs on the fried bread as it makes it soggy. How do you make fried bread? As a kid growing up in England I never paid much attention when my mum put breakfast on the table, just knew that fried bread was one of my favorites. I've tried to fry the bread in the fat left over from my bacon but the fat just disappears and I have to add some kind of oil or lard. It just doesn't make the grade. Incidentally the old fashioned way of cooking has been frowned upon as unhealthy and disgusting but I'm a man of simple tastes and when I see you enjoying food it makes me realize that my old mum was a pretty good cook and even though she worked she still managed to serve up some pretty good grub. Canadian restaurants would frown on fried bread as being totally unhealthy and if I asked for bubble I'm sure they would wonder what planet I was from. Great vids Darren, keep up the good work!

For my sins, I ate at Becks virtually every weekday afternoon for 7 years, as I worked just around the corner....and done the best Full Breakfast, not just in London, but around the country. A bloke called Kem and his sister used to run it, as dad wasn't well....don't know if he still does, as I haven't been back there for about 7 years.

I know this area very well as my ex girlfriend lived on Lambs Conduit Street. I enjoyed your review of The Fryer’s Delight, apparently Janet Street-Porters favourite and all cooked in beef dripping. Although I quite liked it we used to go to the North Sea Fish Restaurant more often. Never tried Becks as you couldn’t get in for the Black Cabs outside (sign that it’s good!). Other great places to visit in the area are The Lamb Pub for a beer and The Duke on Roger Street (Art Deco) for beer and food. Near Becks there used to be a great Chinese called Kam Fung (sadly no more). I think nearby there is also still the excellent Pizza takeaway Malletti (Clerkenwell Road) and the original gastropub The Eagle. Overall a great part of central London.

Yet again another video with you smiling breakfast looked amazing presentation and quality even better with chip butty also enjoyed the retro shop 👍❤

Darren I’m in makati Manila the breakfast in the hotel has a cooked selection you can even add kung po chicken and fried fish to the dish..But you cannot beat a full English that looks gert lush

Nice, only issues i have with majority of breakfasts is 1) the beans are not stewed/braised. 2) Portabello mushroom or stalks off. 3) grilled from above back bacon on one side, not griddled. Apart from that looks spot on. Chips look great and > hash browns. Fried slice , eggs and porkers look killer.

hi Darren, took me about 4mos but went to Becks to-day. Very impressed and "off the charts"! Had veggie breakfast including latte and toast £10.95👍 Seems a lot of taxi drivers use it as rank nearby, a good sign. Will be my "go to" place in Holborn 😃.

Firm believer that cut white tin loaf is what you have with a brekkie but have to concede that bread looks lush. Not so sure about chips with a breakfast but you make them look enjoyable DJ. Nice work fella.

Top review Darren, looked fantastic and I could tell by the look on your face it was. Good to see the bacon was a decent thickness and the sausages looked well proper, all in all, top notch food. I would have put a token in the dog cage and then stuck a stick in! Beautiful buildings and architecture at the end of the video, really enjoyed it. Cheers.

What a fantastic café and breakfast and to top it off proper bread just great.Just back from Tenerife and the Sun Inn.Have to pick fault with your “Off the charts” comment about the place! That place - - - - is “Off the Planet”😂just fantastic! Had the steak pie and went back and had the pork chop you could have rowed back to England on it the size of it and the taste was just great 👍So thanks loads super “Bostin”!!!

It looked great, I’d have that less the chips. It’s nice to see that they gave you a full slice of fried bread, I’d rather have tomatoes instead of baked beans. I noticed that there was a bottle of sauce on the table from Aldi’s, I’m not knocking Aldi’s products but when you are paying good money for your meal you expect them to be using branded products like Daddies or HP sauces

Great Cafe Darren we have stopped at the premier inn and the same street we had a few meals in there big portions and a lot of taxi drivers go in which a good sign 🙂

I really enjoy your format, and have a suggestion for content. I have not checked your back catalog, but I would love to see a tour of the London museum after a food review. I feel like a food review and an attraction in the same video would be cool. I want to go to London someday, so any non-tourist attractions would be great to learn about. Whenever I go somewhere, I want to see the real place rather than the tourist traps.

Was watching ur other channel and was gonna recommend becks then this popped up, good cafe, not cheap but good quality and service .. always enjoy it

Beautiful food!

I have eaten there a couple of times . I always liked it cos it's a proper unpretentious cafe. Stalks left on the mushrooms, nice sausages and real fried eggs. Also, if I'm out working, I always keep a bottle of Worcestershire sauce in the car or van. I love it on. A breakfast, particularly fried bread I took it in there and used it, a bit of good natured joking ensued, but the next time I went in, they put a bottle next to my tea!!!!

Looks great! Not a fan of chips alongside bacon etc. but when you made that chip butty with the soft fresh bread, I shall have to review that situation!!

Love the old novelties shame they don't have the electric chair as that was a great one . As not tell what happens on that Darren as if you ever come across one i recommend you give it a go . Ps you will have to change it to the top 10 of the charts as you will more likely that you will come across more .
