Hay... 65 year old James..the mason ( 35 yrs of Masonry).. I remember 1980 driving home as an apprentice in a very old truck listening to the am radio.. He stopped loving her today was brand new and I caught it on the radio..I remember I said to myself... That Is A Hit!!!... Well.. I have followed this wonderful group for a bit and just discovered This Original Song.. Oh My...same feeling...You have written/ sang a song that is a masterpiece...oh my .. Mr Clyde Mattocks on the steel a North Carolina treasure. I think i was a tennager the first time Mr Mattocks came to our house to make music. My dad was a fiddle player and played in bands. This is how it would go. The call would go out, want to get together and pick some..... You never knew what you or who would show. From a piano out of suitcase to two steel players to double fiddles.
The country song with a heart of Merle Haggard that you can really dance to. Nashville tried to kill country music on Music Row. These two are keeping it alive.
When we can listen to singers and writers like this we realise there is much in the way of hope left for the future of our favourite music. Well done song many thanks for the sharing.
Meh. Its not bad, but nothing original here, Jones was an original, they sound like a lesser version of merle/gene watson, but its not bad.. just not original.. if you want to hear the ones who's going to fill "the shoes" id recommend folks like Tyler Childers, BB Palmer, Sturgill Simpson, etc..
@@jesuschrist4321meh. Sturgill is kind of ok sort of. The other two not so much. Keith whitley, alan jackson, randy travis, clint black and david ball were the answer to whose gonna fill their shoes.
Yessssssz BIG SOUND OF COUNTRY MUSIC. THE YRADITIONAL SOUND .The way it was and is meant to be. That's the Backersfield sound . Then Tennessee sound Okla. Verginia sound Mississippi sound Texas sound. Allin between . No gonre of music had ever covered so many age groups as our great Country music. Some where new business people took over in Nashville decided it needed a face. lift. LoL. HuH Decided to turn. The wagon wheels to the left. Ran it off into the wrong niegborhood . Freddy Hart had a similar song, called," I love you but I just don't like anymore. Also a good song. They look and sound like Hart, and the Wilburn Brothers.

Sure hope to get to see them in Okeechobee end of January. They were in Branson at our 57th anniversary but could not go because of COVID and medical condition
