Very well written and presented story; Troy and Brandon both stellar performances. Justin is an inconsiderate, self centered, selfish and abusive fool. I would have never dated or remained an acquaintance of anyone like that. Jacob is the proverbial nice guy who is taken advantage of, used, abused and made into a toy for Justin's amusement. Overall, a great story that is too frequently a reality that results in destroyed relationships, damaged people, and jerks who continue through life causing serious injury to other people.
Thank you for your kind words. Happy to hear you enjoyed “I Just Don’t Like You…”. and Troy and Brandon’s performances. They are true talents and just all around great guys. Keep an eye out for these two… they are going places. As for the characters… yeah, Justin is a bit much… but there had to have been something there to have established the relationship in the first places. Where relationships end rarely resemble where they began. Hmmmm… maybe something else to explore in a film. 🤪😁😁. Again… thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
We love that you love Connor & Jayden. Work continues on a series version of that short film (stay tuned for news on that project in the very near future!). In the meantime, we hope that “I Just Don’t Like You… A Love Story” will be added to your “like” list.
We so love all the support for Connor & Jayden. We are working hard on the series along side other Harbor Heights projects. We look forward to sharing some news very soon! Stay tuned.
Right!?!?!?! That line kills me every time. Justin is trying to stay positive but can only take so much before the cracks start to show. Glad you felt that moment. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Sadly some relationships go down that dark road. Cautionary tale of what happens when you stop listening to each other and allow negativity to fester. Thank you for watching and commenting.
@harborheightsentertainment4525 Relatable. My four-year relationship with my ex that ended coincidentally almost four years ago (on my birthday no less) mirrors the relationship in this short. Except we weren't even communicating by that point. I learned that my ex interpreted me abandoning any exchange as a win on his part. A trait that he inherited from his extremely overbearing, very narcissistic mother. Strangely enough, we're better off as friends. We don't talk much these days. Funny how that works, isn't it?
Sorry to hear the story is relatable... wish it was just a story for you. Unfortunately some relationships just cannot withstand outside pressure and misguided parenting. You can either choose to dwell in It or use it as a lesson in life... sounds like your choose the later. Hopefully that means you have moved on to a better and stronger relationship(s). Again... thank you for watching and sharing your personal story.
Thank you so much 😀. We are glad that you enjoyed it and noticed some of the subtleties in the style and performance. Thank you for watching and commenting. And we agree... Lubor Zuzin was an awesome cinematographer and member of the team.
The end was super fun and creative and I loved how poignant the scene was right before the twist. I think we've all been there in a relationship, the feels are real! Great job to everyone involved.
Thank you for watching. This is a very different story for sure... exploring all sides of a gay relationship... in a healthy way. Keep an eye out for new details regarding Connor & Jayden... the series. News coming soon!
Thank you or all of your support. Glad you are enjoying them. We know "I Just Don't Like You..." is different.... especially for fans of Connor & Jayden.... but we want to explore all sides of LGBTQ+ life... the good and the bad... but without the unnecessary drama or blame the "gay's" approach that is unfortunately typical. Thank you again for watching.
Wow! I was not expecting that! What a remarkable short film. Done with finesse, style and precision. While the title appears to be an oxymoron, once you watch this visual sonnet, you will see that it is not and in the process have an "aha' moment. Just stunning.
WOW! Thank you for such kind words. We are appreciate you watching and catching every nuance. And you even avoided revealing the twist. 😉. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are happy to hear that “I Just Don’t Like You…” moved you in that way. Without love there is no loss… and without loss we can’t appreciate love. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Congratulations to you and yours on 43 years!!!! The good things in life are never easy!!! Takes a lot of work to keep a relationship together. Sounds like you have a good story to tell there as well!
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed I Just Don’t Like You as well as Connor & Jayden. Different stories… but both connected to the ebb and flow of a relationship… it’s a human experience/story that just happens to involve gay characters. Thank you for watching!!!!
Troy Hatt's character is so loveable and likeable, and his boyfriend should have learned to love and like him. He is so fine, so very, very fine---and deserves the complete spectrum of Love to be laid at his feet.
Glad you enjoyed "I Just Don't Like You...". Sometimes things don't go the way we wish... but that doesn't mean there wasn't good to be had. Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.
This story reminds me of a relationship I was in for 30+ years...depressing love. (He was alcoholic...and I took his anger to protect the world. That does not seem to apply here.)
Brilliant! Great cinematography! Good acting. They drive each other crazy! That is a sign of true love. Original story and script. Great twist at the end. ❤❤❤ Where can I see more of your work?
Thank you for the kind words. You touched on something that is a subtle part of the story... for an emotional end to a relationship to exist, love must exist too. So happy to hear you enjoyed I JUST DONT LIKE YOU. Our other film, Connor & Jayden, is here on our RU-vid channel. Other work is currently in production pipeline... hopefully more to announce soon. Thank you, again!
Justin, egocentrico; nascisista, talvez; o outro, passivo e resiliente... Até que explodiu !!! 10 anos. Demorou muito. Uma lição para os dois: "Nós somos os mais importantes; mas é preciso ver e escutar o outro".
Sometimes the end is not what we see coming or wish for. And sometimes it takes waaaaaay longer than it should have to reach that end. Hope you found I Just Don’t Like You to be engaging.
WOW!! I wasn't expecting that! Beautifully done all the way around. Great cinematography, wonderful original scrip and the actors were perfect. Congrats on a super super film.
Google/RU-vid seems to have issues with 5.1 audio systems. This video does not support surround sound... yet RU-vid is trying to play it back that way. Try turning off 5.1 surround on playback... using stereo only.. RU-vid is currently investigating the issue. Sorry for the inconvience.
Wow, that is as intense as Connor & Jayden. Probably not what I should be watching during congestive heart failure, but beauty is beauty and I do not want to miss a minute of it. I became very emotional during the flashback scene toward the end. I am amazed at how much emotion it stirred up in me. I am glad to have seen this film, and I applaud it, but I need to watch it cautiously, as it really hits some very private emotions and memories fro,m my past. Only an artistic masterpiece is capable of accomplishing that. The sequence from 10:40 through 11:06 is very intense; there should be a warning sign for Intense Emotion Ahead! (Just kidding, but it is the intensest part of the film). And that kiss at 11:06---that expands my idea of what constitutes Pure Beauty, "Absolutely Pure," (as Commodore Decker said in "The Doomsday Machine" in Star Trek TOS). And may I just say that when two beautiful men kiss like that, their moment together sends a ripple through the Cosmos to let the Cosmos know that another of its purposes has been fulfilled.
Thank you for watching I JUST DONT LIKE YOU. A bit different story than Connor & Jayden, eh? But... both side of the relationship spectrum must exist in order to appreciate the other.
Glad you enjoyed. Thank you for watching. Good point regarding the operatic song credit... thank you for pointing that out. The song was performed by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and features Tali Ketzef.
@@harborheightsentertainment4525 Oh trying to make me feel better well it's not working ! Used subtitles but made no difference , yeah sometimes you get it & other times it goes way over your head ! PS would l tap those two Actors absolutely l don't need voice just Sign Language hahaha 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"O mio babino caro" seems like an odd choice for the final montage as it's a girl pleading with her father to let her marry the man she loves. There must be lots of break-up songs in the operatic repertoire.

sorry if the story wasn't clear to you... in an effort to not spoil the twist ending for people I will refrain from providing an explanation here... but please feel free to email the team at info@harborheightsentertainment.com to start a dialogue and get an insiders explanation. Thank you for watching.
