This channel is an exhibition of consumate professionals - people that truly love their craft with a passion. No hyperbole, I think the arrangements and musical interpretations alone are grammy worthy. Every singer deserves accolades for their stellar performances. This channel is criminally under-subscribed but I immediately point everyone I discuss music with in this direction. Thank you for your continued commitment to musical excellence and on most occasions genuinely moving me as I sit in awe of another unexpected gift.
I happen to love almost every stories cover a lot! I wonder if I have just a very specific music taste, or whether people just haven't discovered the channel yet. Because I think this channel is probably my favourite to see a new post appear from. Thanks for all the amazing covers! I'm a big fan! My personals favs are the Liar cover ft. Beck Pete, and the High & Dry cover ft. Rett Madison.
It could be that people are different and very often more interested in upbeat and fast(er) songs. Stories to me is a unique state of mind. And I couldn't agree with you more. Well said.
I've went through the same thought many times too. I bring Stories/Scary Pockets/Pomplamoose whenever the music subject comes up and people doesn't seem to be impressed as much as I am. It even makes me sad when it happens cause I don't push other bands around haha but well, it's their loss, so...
.. her voice made me feel like I was on an old rope swing under the shade of a crooked oak tree on a cloudless summer day - a cool breeze and life is good ..
Wasn't gonna click on this video cuz I've heard so many covers of this song but god damn this girl's voice is so good and soothing to hear. Thumbs up :)
Stories is a great name for this channel….the songs that meaninglessly play in the background of our lives suddenly have a story to tell when you interpret them.
I’ve loved every stories cover, and this is excellently well done. But this song almost suffers more for being able to clearly hear all the words. I don’t know if even all the talent on display here can redeem it.
This was never the way I planned Not my intention I got so brave, drink in hand Lost my discretion It's not what I'm used to Just wanna try you on I'm curious for you Caught my attention … I kissed a girl and I liked it The taste of her cherry chap stick I kissed a girl just to try it I hope my boyfriend don't mind it It felt so wrong It felt so right Don't mean I'm in love tonight I kissed a girl and I liked it I liked it … No, I don't even know your name It doesn't matter You're my experimental game Just human nature It's not what, good girls do Not how they should behave My head gets so confused Hard to obey … I kissed a girl and I liked it The taste of her cherry chap stick I kissed a girl just to try it I hope my boyfriend don't mind it It felt so wrong It felt so right Don't mean I'm in love tonight I kissed a girl and I liked it I liked it … Us girls we are so magical Soft skin, red lips, so kissable Hard to resist so touchable Too good to deny it Ain't no big deal, it's innocent … I kissed a girl and I liked it The taste of her cherry chap stick I kissed a girl just to try it I hope my boyfriend don't mind it It felt so wrong It felt so right Don't mean I'm in love tonight I kissed a girl and I liked it I liked it
As a huge Katy Perry fan, this piece has challenged me. As a bi gender fluid being, I found Katy's vocals on this to feel a bit lacking in thoughtfulness. Lacking in love. As if it was solely for increasing her brand value and her brand's reach. Wonderful artists, e.g., Cher, Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin, and Lady Gaga, just to name a few, all have priceless and healthy relationships/connections with LGBTQ2+ communities. Well, I won't type too much. Julia Harriman's phrasing and beautiful singing voice as well as the accompanying artists brought the quality of love to this Pop song. It changed how I feel about the song. Forgive me Katy. But, I solely love Julia Harriman's rendition. 🌺
