The first time I heard this song was on Country's Family Reunion, I had tears 😭 in my eyes. This song means everything. It's wonderful to know that God does know and understands what we go through in life.
Great song. Bless you & thanks for posting it. I've always been a Ed fan, but never heard this one. Pay no attention to the comments of non-believers, they will soon fade away & all we shall see is the brilliance of His face. Keep fighting the good fight, turning the other cheek & most of all believing on Him who takes away the sins of the world.

This song reminds me of my late wife MANDY ,She was a GREAT schoolteacher ,PERSON and wife and she STILL HAUGHTS ME DAILY even after four years . I STILL MISS HER .

Just simply beautiful, meaningful song but the voice has such a very beautiful rich tone , that it a gift to own, I am amazed this man isnt up there with the greats of country music,
@weaverfever55 While this is so true, all we can do is pray for the lost. When I was a new Christian & used to fret the rest of the world being lost for eternity, my pastor's wife would comfort us by saying, "Don' t worry. Heaven's going to be full." The only sad part is what she left off..."and so is hell." Someone has to be down there to gnash their teeth, right? All you can do is share & witness what He has done for us & hope for the best. Long as it ain't me gnashing !

He said he “ got permission “ to use the lyrics. When I looked up the lyrics only Ed Bruce is listed. By the story he told of that poor soul in jail, it would seem that she really needed could have used that money for rehabilitation. What ever became of her? That makes me cry more than the song.
When Ed says 'I count all my golf strokes now" He's saying since he's been born again he's stopped cheating at golf....The fewer strokes you have...the better your score...so counting ALL of them means your score will be higher...but it will be an honest score...pretty funny Ed

If you are born again you become a "child of God" and are a part of His family and will dwell with Him forever. Ask someone about the Trinity & learn how God's son died on the cross for all of us and all our sins. Enlighten yourself & you'll understand what Ed is singing about !
