@@jeffpotato77 man I made a video on this character literally standing on a platform. You think once he's out I won't be able to find all of the above?
Just goes to show how broken Seph would be if he were around Cloud's weight. Imagine Sephiroth everywhere on Elite Smash and he got to get his wing every stock. Everyone better prepare to grind for 50 million GSP just to make it into ES.
@@tiffyw92 it would be a nightmare indeed. The only reason a Sephiroth main does not attack head on all the time is that he dies at 60 from a tilt attack.
The fact that you can use those platforms like a scale to get a rough idea of how chars compare against each other is awesome! One of my favorite aspects of Smash Bros is the physics
This makes me happy. I always felt Zelda was a comfortable weight when i played her. Thought Sora would be way lighter. Also i'm low key suprised Sephiroth was that light & i'm also suprised that Isabelle is heavier than i expected.
I think Sephiroth might’ve been a heavy until Sakurai realized how broken he was. He did say he’s extremely light because he’d be too powerful if he was heavier.
The fact that he’s heavier than sephiroth is already good, he’s also floaty so so try good di you could live for a while, on top of that he looks hard to hit and is almost smaller than mario, and he has crazy air mobility, nice
Makes me think he should be lighter. Like he is has super air combo , air mobility, and magic spam and a shove counter, makes me he and Kirby should weight the same.
@@PJDAltamirus0425 His combos aren't even really comparable to Bayonetta, he has strong advantage, but not really a super good combo game by itself. It's also worth noting that when compared to Kirby, Kirby is as light as he is because he has really good kill power, Sora's a little weaker in that department.
As a Zelda main, who's favorite game of all time is KH1&2, it was only natural to main Sora. NOW you're telling me he's already like my main?! #TooEz #SoraForLife #MyBoy
I play Zelda a lot and with her floaty-ness, slow air speed, and weight, I can survive for a while with good DI. I've never really groaned about her weight, especially now that I picked up Sephiroth. Im not a pro player, but I don't think Sora's weight is gonna be that bad. I'm more so concerned about what his disadvantage state is gonna look like
Being lightweight is generally a weakness, as it means you'll get KO'd easier and and earlier, but Zelda isn't that incredibly light. Sakurai made Sora sound like he's Jigglypuff extremes of light haha.
I don't think its gonna be that bad. I play zelda and how early she dies isn't ridiculous and hasn't really given me much trouble. Tweek mentioned that if the only downside of Sora is his weight and nothing else, then thats really good
You know what’s funny? When it comes to skill it seems like weight really doesn’t mean a thing… I thought about that when it mentioned the biggest weakness is his weight… All the most skilled people whether it’s in sports or video games and all the most broken video game characters are so light and floaty… Which means to tell me that if weight is your biggest weakness in a video game then that’s a good sign as far as your talents and skills…
It's also due to how they try balancing. If you have 2 characters who's kits are equal in strength, the one who is heavier wins. So lightweights tend to have overall better kits, but since weight is marginally helpful except in extreme cases, it tends to be the lighter and more Mobil characters that last the longest
I'm still upset at how light they made Sephiroth. He's supposed to be this menacing villain that achieved so much in his game, but in smash bros, he's a complete joke! How awful!
@@jkahl5596 His active hitbox frames don't last long at all, some of his attacks have considerable startup lag, almost all of them have a lot of endlag, he's ridiculously lightweight, his frame data is awful, and even his damage output doesn't outweigh all these shortcomings. His Gigaflare takes long to charge, making it only useful for edge guarding, if you have enough time that is, and his one winged mode also isn't helpful. A stat boost and an extra jump on a character who can still die very early despite having it active would not be something to be called a game changer at all. He's halfway decent, but not a top tier by any means
Dude I can’t wait for Sora to be released and your content just explodes, I’m keeping my eyes on everything. And if you’re anything like me the only disappointment you had was there’s no Roxas alt… like c’mon Sakurai lmao
Roxas is too tall (compared to KHI Sora) to be an alt, so Sakurai and his team wouldn’t only have to create another character model and 3 different alts. They’d also have to change all of his attack animations to fit his length.
Good work tho! That was definitely a very great and successful weight test! Already getting to work on Sora and he hasn’t even been released yet… Already getting ahead of everybody…
As a Mewtwo main who has been dreaming of a weight buff and a disjointed tail hitbox… Sora being a Mewtwo floater but with better weight and a disjoint that won’t get smacked when you dash away makes me think I’m gonna be a Sora main. Very curious about his speed though
@@shoxas From what I can tell he has really good aerial drift, but I do think his ground speed will be a lot slower. Just look at his up smash though. It's the same but just straight up better. Sure you lose a command grab, a reflect, and disable, but his command grab has niche uses, the reflect is not great and gain a counter/deflect, and disable is such a hassle on most of the cast and useless on the rest. Sora is just the DLC privilege version of Mewtwo.
