It could be that Henry designed the original animatronics, and Edwin might have assembled them. Engineers rarely have a part in production, they may make a prototype, but that's it. The Mimic might have been Edwin creating something based on Henry's blueprint, but tweaked for his needs: babysitting his son.

I definitely agree with Rye that this will be the make-it-or-break-it for TalesGames, and I have more evidence for that. When VIP came out, it offered some pretty compelling TalesGames evidence. In Tales, the Pizzaplex looks extremely different from the one we see in SB, which is why I initially never believed it. But VIP gave us a Pizzaplex like the one we see in Tales and told us that it was being rennovated into a newer version that looks pretty similar to our SB Pizzaplex. So in all the hype for Secret of the Mimic, they decided to release a book that added more uncertainty to the TalesGames debate. Not only is the Mimic heavily involved with Tales, meaning they'd probably just HAVE to have confirmation/deconfirmation of TalesGames in there somewhere, but I feel like VIP was meant to fuel the TalesGames debate so they could drop the bomb in SOTM, ending the debate for good and making that bomb-drop more effective. Also, really cool collab. It's not often that you see theorists collab because they DISagree on something. It's usually only when they AGREE on something. So it was a really cool idea to reach out to eachother to explain both of their perspectives.

I have been saying that the puppet is A mimic, not THE mimic, because there's multiple robots and it's more of a dangerous technology than a dangerous entity. Remnant and agony are good at connecting to and piloting robots, and can combine with intelligences, even artificial ones. The puppet having mimic AI before possession makes sense and doesn't rock the boat of old canon. Makes you think about how Afton's agony might connect to another copy of the AI...

The story of the mimic in these books is: Edwin is hired to work on making the Freddy Fazbear characters into animatronics, during this time he creates an animatronic to look after his son by mimicing his sons actions. His son loves the toy and plays with it all day allowing Edwin to work on the animatronics his son then gets into a car accident and dies. Edwin comes home to see the mimic still mimicing his son. He is enraged by this and starts beating up the animatronic causing it's programming to learn the violence now The story of the puppet from the games: Henry is the person at Fazbear who makes the animatronics. He is busy running the establishment and thus cannot look after his daughter. He creates a security puppet to watch over his daughter. One night the puppet cannot find Charlie, she has been locked outside by bullies. A man in a purple car pulls up and murders her. The puppet follows charlie outside and holds her as she dies. after this the puppet is haunted by Charlie and takes on her traits the new fnaf game, secret of the mimic directly compares the mimic to the puppet by using the puppet box music I think these similarities are quite big

Personally I feel like its pretty obvious that Jackie is the origin of Ennard's mask, not the SL Springlock suit. Jackie's single cut down the middle of its face, the clown nose, the red eyebrows, the chubby cheeks, as well as the mouth that is made to never close. Maybe I'm just being too confident but it feels obvious to me. They have the same red button on their chest, the literal ONLY detail Ennard has outside of the mask. The clown hat on top of this, in my opinion, ties it all together. The only think Ennard is missing is hair, which while I know Clowns often have red hair Ennard's eyebrows are about as close as it can get to Jackie's when it comes to old Scott models. I feel, personally, if you just put Jackie's hair on Ennard it makes it feel too 1:1 to not be the case

The Mimic as evil counterpart to the Puppet: Henry creates the Puppet to watch out for Elizabeth. She dies. The Puppet takes her remnant, and becomes sentient. Edwin creates the Mimic, to babysit David. David dies. The Mimic is subjected to Edwin’s agony, and becomes sentient. (We also have William, the plushie, Micheal and Dave, in another father irresponsibly handing off childcare to some unqualified resulting in the child’s death) From a Fourth Closet perspective, Puppet is Charlie bots 1-3, and Mimic is CharlieBot 4 that then becomes Baby. Maybe Baby is based off of both the Mimic and the Puppet (which might have used Mimic code). The same programming that Henry used to make the Puppet a protector of children could be repurposed to allow the Funtimes to find children at their most vulnerable. And the Mimic’s learning abilities could be very useful for allowing the Funtimes to adapt their strategies. I think Mimic-Puppet-Baby, David-Charlie-Elizabeth, Edwin-Henry-William might be a kind of triad of triads. The Mimic is basically amoral, it was created and abandoned, not really given a purpose. It was shown love, then hate, and left to figure it out. Puppet was built to protect, Baby was built to capture and kill. David’s death was an accident, although Edwin’s neglect is partially to blame. Charlie was killed by William, the only fault of Henry is not recognizing William as a threat. Elizabeth died not just because of William’s neglect, but him basically leaving a loaded gun for her to find that he knew she wanted to play with. So you have three fathers that lost kids, with different levels of guilt and culpability, and different reactions. Edwin reacted badly and ran away, but eventually returned to try to fix his mess. We aren’t entirely sure about Henry, apart from him also returning to try to make things right. And we all know William.

What about sammy emily? Just some random thought if he is the edward boy. Maybe its tied afton griefing about elizabeth, wanting Henry to create something to get his daughter back. Motivating him by ending charlie. Thats why is the the baby and charlie robots. They are mimics, sammy died too maybe, while Henry made the programm. And one of the prototypes mimiced sammy, but he wanted his fav charlotte, more grief and agony got into one of the prototypes. Thats why the music and puppet simularities, maybe Charlotte robos are sammys soul (thats why all the thinking about sammy) mixed with the anger etc. Or ingame just in one, cause books differ. Imagine they rewrite this "old concept" Of that books and it connects to sammy to all, wouldnt be the child kidnapped halloween in fall, maybe at that Fall fest. And og charlie died the way in game. Idk 😂 my writing doesnt make sense but maybe Scott brings that character up

So, anyone ever going to point out the fact that Jackie looks like how Coils the Clown is described in Jump For Tickets, or how strange the ending of that story left things off, with the implication that Coils was either alive in some way, or got ‘possessed’ by the main character of that story? Just saying, the similarities between the designs are so strange and the ending feels similar to the puppet and the mimic in some way.

Maybe Henry made the animatronics for the location in Utah and Edwin for the other states.

I don’t understand, is this “secret” of the Mimic possibly so important that we need a whole game about it? Explaining everything about it like this just seems antithetical to horror. I don’t know. Just seems like a step backwards in where this series should be going. And on that I feel like the enemies shouldn’t be like Terminators super sci fi explicitly trying to be scary, it should be upsetting and uncanny in a more realistic way. Especially since we are going back in the Past, which is super cool. Just tired of this stuff being dragged out. I want to be shown something new again.
