Seon doesnt talk behind anyone's back like some of the antis are barking about. Niki came to Seon alone and said that I wanna be the center, and seon said they need to see and decide the center between all of them. When youngbin cried, hes there comforting him. When some trainees were criticizing heesung style, he remained silent in the corner until youngbin said he wanna talk with heesung, just then seon offered to call him. He asked with K on how should they told heesung. When heesung was very discouraged and said he doesnt wanna be the center either, seon recommended them to vote between them, altho K told them that niki wants the center. When heesung wanted to be alone, he gave him space... and the fact that seon said heesung wants to be alone, that means these two had a talk before. When niki was criticized by rain and other trainee, he is the one who told that in front of niki's face that he is lacking vocally... Yet seon kindly offered niki one on one mentoring and said 'if you wanna be the center then i will help you'. Idt he is being kind just bcs he needs other trainees vote, bcs he has been like that since his previous survival. He always approached everyone first and helped them eventho it did him no good (he helped kuanlin, zhengting, and justin to communicate, and comforted hyeongseob when he is sulky bcs rank dropped from 5th to 6th when seon himself was eliminated). He doesnt have the greed to be the center either, he clearly just want the part 5 and he got it from the beginning. If you are start assuming things abt his gesture, then i wonder if it is bcs you wrongly judged him based on the 1st episode editings and took that judgement too far by invalidating anything seon did.
I only watched a few episodes from Produce 101 Season 2 so I never really knew he was in the show, but hearing this makes me so happy. From what I have seen on I-Land he seems like he just wants to help others and now hearing him being the same on Produce just goes to show that the kindest are usually painted as the villains.

Seon is literally the one who told the members not to talk abt behind heeseung's back and suggested that they should talk abt it with him instead and ppl are misunderstanding him for that. I agree! We have the same opinion... I don't really get it when people hate him calling him two-faced and such... He's the one who told the trainees to have a talk with Heeseung instead of them talking behind him... But now he got all the hate...
In this episode he actually seemed to try to be the voice and listen to perspectives and be the mediator despite Mnet’s attempt to evil edit. There’s nothing wrong with being nice and appealing to the other trainees to survive.
Right? People were really calling him a snake for quickly acknowledging that he should be befriending the I-LAND contestants...like yo...he’s just being smart and honest about it LMAO. They were literally voting each other off the show so ofc quickly befriending each other is a must.
I like seon voice but he really needs to be more careful with his actions inside the show, people started to see him as a 2 face person when he was the only one who was mature enough to talk with heeseung. He needs be smarter in front of cameras.

I hope it’s a misunderstanding because he did come off two faced when I was watching the show and hopefully he will be careful from now on.. I don’t hate him but his personality and behavior am not big fan of it
Y’all are really jumping the gun on Seon. Don’t get me wrong I felt odd about him too cause he seemed very focused on securing his position and it could make his personality seem fake but after watching episode 2 I have a new opinion. Although he has a lot of worries he still listens to the other trainee’s worries and check in on the others which is sweet. He’s always there to comfort the other trainees and he was the one to tell the trainees to directly talk to Heeseung about his teaching methods. But the other trainees weren’t talking to Heeseung and the situation kept growing more resentful so Seon took the initiative to call a group meeting. Also be mindful that the editing can make him he look like a bad person when he isn’t. It’s only been 2 episodes so try to understand him a little bit more.
I've been his fan since pd101 era and I would say that he actually is the sweetest and warmest person on earth, he always takes care of the youngers and thinks of others. And in pd101, he helped Kuanlin and his Chinese label mates, Jungjung and Justin, a lot when they couldn't understand Korean words because he can speak Chinese and English. And last year after he left his former company and kept practicing on his own, he opened an Instagram acc to communicate with his fans, and he really gave me a lot of positive energy, he was so kind to me when I asked him questions or requested him to do something like singing English song. I'm asking you guys PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE HIM from only what Mnet let you see. He's been putting so much effort on his dreams for years, it's been a long time journey and I hope he can debut this time.

I feel like the reason why some people hate seon is because of his first impression when they introduced him for the first entire episode, it makes him look bad but further on in the episodes you can see that he’s not like but since the first impression made him look bad the other episodes made it look like he’s only trying to get on their good side to not be voted out but that’s not true. He does care about everyone and the other members do come to him for guidance
Mnet is well known for their evil editing. Don't fall for it, give Seon a chance. Don't be quick to judge, after all we don't really know the trainees.
totally agree I think it's bc he's a bight trainee who's trained for so long he's got that experience. Him, Heesung, jay, and sunghoon have the most stability in my opinion.
I like his voice but idk about his personality, some people dislike him already but let's just watch until the last episode and i hope people don't judge him easily

So happy to see people defending Seon here because on other videos he's always being criticized.. I don't really know why people keep hating on him on first episode he said that he's desperate to debut and people criticized him for not going along with other trainees. Now that he's been an ear to listen he's now being categorized as two-faced. Is it not normal for a person to be cautious at first on an unfamiliar surrounding then started to loosen up and make friends as time goes by? Is it bad that you to comfort a person when you see him being anxious and listen to his concern? Is it having a bad attitude when you try to gather everyone so they can clear out misunderstandings? Is it bad when you think of other trainees as competitors when in fact you're on a competition fighting for your dream?

You caught my eyes since the first time I saw you on your first survival. I really want to know you but you are always on the background of other trainees' scenes. I enjoy your Shock performance, you did great as a center, although it is such a bummer that you left. Even after that, I kept wondering of 'What is he up to now that his friends are all debuted?", but then you have your insta and interacted well with everyone. I believe that you are a friendly person, I can see that. You keep your best to listen to everyone and enjoy the time with them. You always volunteer to help others communicate even if it did you no good, just because you are simply kindhearted. Thank you for helping Kuanlin, Justin, Zhengting and being a good friend for Dongmyeong, Hyungseob, Euiwoong, and others. You help so many people with that traits. When theres a rumor abt him joining produce x 101, he DMed the fanbase himself that hes not joining in english. Also i heard he attended intl school in Shanghai before he enrolled in SOPA.
I don’t mean to argue I’m just confused towards the hate Seon is receiving because didn’t Seon try to settle Niki and K’s lack of communication with Heeseung? He tried to gather the i-landers to talk about it as a group instead of backstabbing Heeseung. He also mediated between the contestants who didn’t feel at ease with the individual practices. Wasn’t talking it out better than talking behind each other’s back? Don’t get me wrong Heeseung’s one of my favorites so far. I personally thought Heeseung suited the center position and he tried his best in leading them and was mature in response with the whole change-the-center fiasco. Just shows how selfless and team-oriented despite being talented enough to hold his own! Anyways no hate towards any of the boys.
I feel the exact same. I really don't understand why Seon is getting so much hate. One thing I also don't understand is why they couldn't keep Heeseung as the center but have someone else lead? Most leaders in groups that have debuted aren't the center. Regardless everyone did really well! Niki improved a lot with his vocals for this stage - he was much stabler compared to when they first started practicing the song! Rooting for everyone

just saying but seon / seunghyuk was always a caring person. it shows when he was with the yuehua kids in the NIMDLE episodes. just search up "yuehua nimdle eng sub" and you'll see how caring seon actually has been. he knew and took care of his members back in yuehua. and i'm pretty sure seon NEVER changed.
i think that seon would be a great leader, he's great at settling disputes and hes a good role model to the younger members. i have no idea why people would hate on such a selfless person! he also has a lot of talent and i love his singing voice.
I made this point in a tweet last night. He's good at talking to individuals one on one, in small groups and to the group as a whole. Granted, some of it could be for his personal benefit but that's to be expected at this point. And every single person there is thinking of how they can not only perform better but also form relationships that benefit them. It's a competition show, after all, and every one of them knows that only half of the people there are going to make it to the debut team. Also, the editing comes into place because we don't see the full context of things that happen. This is just part of how reality shows create reactions in their audiences and drive engagement on the topic on social media. I think that if Seon makes it to the debut group, he's a good candidate for leader.
In their performance video I saw comments saying that he only thinks about himself and just acts nice to the others. I don't think that's true. He was just being honest and at least it better than lying. Don't hate on him saying he is selfish, it is just that he also wants to debut just like everyone there so of course there will be times he will be looking at himself. I really think he or Heesung can be the leaders, if they debut

guys pls don't fall for mnet's evil editing. i've known seon since he was in yuehua, he's the nicest human ever. he's just now really competitive because he's trained for so long, all of yuehua trainees got to debut and he didn't. theres only been 2 episodes please don't hate on him because of the way mnet is editing him.

I just watched the second episode (im so late, i know) and Seon is my favorite. I dont get it why many people dislike him when all he’s do is embrace other with a warm smile, telling other that they shouldn’t talk behind heeseung’s back, comfort other member that sad, and being the social butterfly. it seems like heeseung cried because of seon out, so heeseung cried in front of him and seon hugged him .. my bias is heeseung, but the spirit for seon .. although many hate you because you are proposing niki as a center, this is the process, hopefully seon be a strong person. fighting heeseung and seon .. don't hate .. heeseung must be sad because 6 i land out .. i am also sad because heeseung is not a center, and the judges say if i land first determines the whole show, and niki doesn't have many expressions which was shown even though Niki had many parts, so Rain was a little disappointed. I hope the next performance, Heeseung can be a leader and guide them well.

my take is that he or heesung would be the potential leader of the group if he gets in the line up. he's really good in communicating with the other trainees and based on the episodes is that he initiates the conversations and he assures that the trainees are heard of their concerns.
i love his singing, and his dancing got better. adore how he tried to have everyone talk altogether, especially when discussing heeseung’s training method.

I like Seon because he was one of the few who looked happy singing his part. Most of the others just looked like they were concentrating really hard (this would be me tbh!) Or had a tough look on their face but this is a joyful, hopeful song. I felt Seon nailed his part with his singing and smiling.
Love his facial expression at his part. Also I liked how he suggested talking to Heeseung face to face as a team. I hope people will start to notice his real motives. :)
Tbh, watching Seon in this performance made me realize that he is one of the trainees who has the highest potential to become an idol. Ive seen all the fancams and i gotta say he's one of the best performers here.

He did so great this episode. From his objective and professional manner of handling the hard situations to how much this performance was better than his first (which I’m sure was primarily nerves) I am proud the Seon I saw in the interviews has finally arrived.

It's always the ones who want to be on good terms with everybody that get attacked in the end. I learned that the hard way. So I get why everybody thinks he's sneaky and fake ... but have you considered that he's just trying to be nice? Of course, he takes this competition very seriously, since he's already waited for years, but what's wrong about that? And I think he has great potential! He may not be the best dancer, but I really love his voice and stage-presence. Still, there's room for improvement but I'm sure he'll work hard. At least I hope I'm right about what I said... We haven't seen that much of the trainees yet, so there could be some unexpected twist.

Honestly, I was skeptical of him at first, but then I realised that everyone does this, this is a survival show, and I think that he is genuinely nice and not trying to be sly like what other people thinl. Seon Fighting!!!!
I stan him. I do. It hurts to be back here after he got eliminated. Remember when he said in the first episode that he was probably the most desperate because he's been training for four years already. It's hard. I understand. Then the first episode just made him look bad. Mnet made him look like an enemy. Have you ever argued with your best friends? Of course you have. So it's possible to talk behind someone's back. He did talk behind Heeseung's back but then he didn't want it to last and wanted to speak to Heeseung about his leading technique. And when they wanted to remove the center position from him, he was there to say that they should vote first or think about it. I've had fights with my best friends before and I can't avoid talking behind their backs. But then I have to show that I still want to be his/her friend. So from my point of view, he just wanted to help Youngbin and fix things straight with Heeseung. He didn't want to remove Heeseung off of his position. He just wanted to fix his leading techniques. But then he gets criticized. We can't do anything about that. So on the next episodes. I see that he doesn't get screen time that much anymore. It hurts because he doesn't get the attention he needs in order for people to recognize him. But then during the fifth episode. When things started to get rough when they had to pick between Jay and Sunghoon. K was thinking hard and wanted to ask from someone's perspective and he wanted to ask for someone's help.. And who did he go to? Seon. He went to Seon to talk about the problem with the dance unit. So they both talked about it and they decided to call a group meeting. You see? He doesn't want to talk behind other's backs. He simply calls everyone so that everyone can decide. So they call a team meeting. Rather than just simply replacing Jay, they did an evaluation and a voting to see if he will get replaced. And that was a smart move. To call everyone in. But then he got eliminated. And it hurts so bad to see him cry. The guy who acts like everybody's father and just simply cares about them. Just remember... He's been a trainee for years without getting a chance to debut. He's been in Produce 101 season 2 but he wasn't shown much and he was eliminated from the show. Now he is in I-Land and is getting criticized for Mnet's evil editing. "I joined I-land because I thought it would be my last chance" -Seon (Episode 5) It hurts to know that he's been through a lot but is still not appreciated. A singer, a dancer, a performer. Plus he's handsome and mature. But then I thought about it... If he debuts.. He would be Like J-Hope and RM (BTS). The ones that gets the most secret hate from their own fandom. #FightingSeon💜
let's not judge him just from the first 2 eps.... this boy has so much talent, from his singing to his facial expressions to his dance execution and he has godlike visuals, you can see he's worked so hard for 4 years, for sure one of my faves in i-land, i hope he debuts, let's give hope to the future seon!!!
It's just episode 2 and so far Seon is one of my personal choice of top 12... he expresses his own opinion, listens and voice out other's opinions since some can't do it themselves and just talk behind other's back... This is a survival show and he does his best to survive... He has been honest of how determined he is to debut.. I like that about him... He didnt even tried to be number 1.. he just want the group to have a good performance...
He reminds me a bit of a politicians trying to get people to like them and vote for them. Most would do and say what is needed to stand out and win. Whether it’s good or bad things.
When he started singing at 3:06 you know that his voice sounds really good. You know that he is inborn singer. With more workshop he will be a great vocalist
Yes! I think so too. He’s the one who initiates resolving conflict by encouraging members to talk face to face when there’s conflict. He’s not perfect but I admire that about him. Very sensible. I don’t like him at first but he’s grown on me. My favorite is still Sunoo tho.
