Cardigan corgis come in all sorts of colors! You can usually tell it’s a cardigan and not a Pembroke by looking to see if they have a tail (although it’s becoming more popular to leave Pembroke tails undocked-docking is just breed standard). Cardigan corgis also tend to have rounder, less pointed ears and also be stockier and larger, as you can see by Bao Bao! -a Pembroke corgi owner and dog groomer ❤️
I'm starting my own mobile grooming business, it's so rewarding and a lot of fun! He's right, you can't just love dogs to be a good groomer, it takes alot of work!
Do i have to study or take some courses to be a dog groomer? or do i just like buy a place and start grooming? cus i am moving to the US in July or August, and i for sure want to be a dog groomer but i dont know what i have to do to acomplish that :(
Beth Films you guys will want to get your dog grooming certification through a hands on course, and work under someone else until you are comfortable to start your own business!
@@betty_taylor55 ask around any grooming salons. You can be hired as a bather/dryer and learn from there. Certification isnt required to groom, most were taught in the salon, but if you can find a school and are willing to spend the money, def. go that route as well.
Good job. Just one little tip: It's actually bad to express the anal glands every time they come in for a groom when the glands are not enlarged, obstructed or anything like that. It can cause unnecessary trauma to the glands and this can trigger an onset of recurring anal gland problems where they get obstructed and sometimes even inflamed. If I have a dog to groom with obstructed anal glands I recommend seeing a vet. These glands should empty naturally. If they don't it could be due to numerous reasons.
This made me so happy to watch! I had a bad day, my mom opened a door I was behind too quick and broke my toenail, and now I am going to lose my toenail and it hurts like HELL!!
Wonderful job! Though I always do nails before I groom in case I hit the quick. This is what I was taught since on a dry white dog you'll have a lot of blood showing - meaning back in the tub. (We use clippers not files).
Lucy, can you think about being a food delivery person for a day. It seems to be a very popular gig job and I would love to know the real deal. Love your vids!
This is my dream job is to become a professional dog groomer I work grooming my dog part time at home I would watch these videos to help me to learn more about becoming a professional dog groomer
@@Thedevbtc9900 Going to school for grooming is wonderful, but from personal experience, working as a bather/dyer in a grooming shop and learning from there is the best way. You’ll be getting paid and getting experience. & many groomers are in need of help right now, so I’m sure I’d be easy to find a salon in your area willing to teach you! School can be expensive, and it’s not required. I did both & have learned way more on the job than in school. Schooling should give you the basics; how to wash a dog properly, clip nails, breeds, etc. But working gives you a better insight on what you’ll be doing day-to-day, how to deal with customers, and how to deal with the harder dogs, and most of the information from school, minus the books, which you can buy on your own from Amazon! Generally, in school, you’ll be getting dogs that get groomed frequently and are good for the process. In a salon you’ll get all types of dog behaviors to learn from. Kind of late to your comment, but I hope that helps if you’re still needing it!😊
What are those eye drops for and where can I get them???!!! Are they for protection against water and soap or what?? Never even heard of such a thing. BaoBao is one of the cutest doggies I’ve ever seen!!!!!! 😍😍😍
