ive been watching you for years now for hiphop beats but edm has still always been my favorite thing to produce and with you slowly shifting to edm your channel has become my favorite these days.🤩
3rd eye or not... that day it's something else. Before, techno is boring, monotonous... suddenly it's a freaking vibe that words cannot explain. I never had much interest, went to a festival and holy moly... for me, with those monstruous speakers, I think my heart synced with the kicks lol
Man, I saw Chlär and Alarico individually and then together as Funk Assault at Paradigm festival last weekend. The energy and groove to their tracks and mixing is just so good and fun. Couldn't stop dancing. They definitely played tracks that weren't 4/4. Not a hard rule at all. Especially when you listen techno a lot, some variety is nice. I love it when its mixed with breakbeat as well. That said, its good advice for a beginner to start off. I would've said its not always necessary though.
@@thelibrarian3734 I'm very comfortable with my music taste. Do your worst haha Don't mind a decent discussion. I listen to the weirdest stuff sometimes. I just love creative beats, interesting sounds and textures. Can be whatever. Just check the discography of R&S records, its house, techno, anything breakbeat, ambient etc. Vician - Signal Path is one of my favourites this year.
God bless you for trying, expanding your palette, putting in some work and exposing your audience to different styles of music but, neither of these tracks are really Techno. At this point, the definition of Techno has been butchered beyond recognition but if anything - these feel like intro-tier festival/Boiler Room tracks for pickme EDM kids that move on to more "aggressive" music. Emphasizing arrangement and building around "Drops" are not techno. Just because something has limited vocals, a harder kick, and a repetitive rhythm doesn't automatically make it Techno. Also, that guy Vince from the start of the video has no idea what he is talking about; his artist references were ridiculous. Keep at it though - you have the technical production knowledge, you just have to up your exposure to better references.
Nice job man! How about trying some gabber, industrial hardcore or breakcore or something like that. You know... something hard and fast and maybe a bit more obscure. Anyway, just kinda 'discovered' you and really enjoying the content. Keep it up! 👍👍
It started technoesque and then it became house 😂. FIGHT THE INNER DEVIL! I noticed that it got too much house when you added the vocal on top of the melody. By wild guessing i say either take out one of them, and/or take out most of the tonality at least from vocal as well as reducing the vocal to 'you' only... or maybe just 'ou'.. AND do not run it in sync with the kick... use 1/5, 1/7 or 1/9 notes for the 'ou' (in fact I think I would prefer 'I'm' with a very shortly cut m, but the async note length might be the most important aspect). While that might not work for your track in particular, it kinda describes parts of whats missing for techno and might help you otherwise.
Dope I fell in love with techno again after Jay dropped that dark house vid and that track he made at the end someone commented about it sounding like "hi tech minimal" Boris Brejcha and Hozho 👌
I saw Kaskade at Lagoonfest in Texas City and Grum and Deadmau5 in Houston! All amazing shows. Love my hip hop and I also love house/trance/techno/dnb!
#2 is better...If you're interested in exploring more about techno, you might enjoy listening to artists like Richie Hawtin, Rødhåd, Maceo Plex, or Dubfire. They offer a fantastic representation of the genre.
there is many ways and plugins (I think maddix made one) to make a rumble kick but I found adding a duplicate kick with a high reverb removing the high end has worked the best for me
I'll go for the second song. I got few song recommendations for you to listen. Right now by Lampe, Code Breaker by Deniz Kabul, and Ethereal Ann Clue. Hope you love them.
You should try to learn how to make hypertechno, its a very nice and melodic genre, im currently working on collabs with a lot of big hypertechno producers
I mean just take a popular TikTok vocal, put the basic effects on like stutter and delay and then use a more clean techno kick and bass and some Percussion loops from splice and you got a finished track in like 1h
Anybody whos new to techno, do not look into those recommendations. If you want a hard soundng techno listen to old real techno by the likes of Regis, Slobodan, Woody McBride, Jeff Mills, Ade Fenton, Robert Hood, Luke Slater, Chris McCormack, Takaaki Itoh, Surgeon, Glenn Wilson, Loktibrada to name just a few. Work your way through from there, learn how it should sound. The new "hard techno" all sounds like a mixture of hard trance, hard house, hardstyle, very little techno in it anymore.
Listen to Underworld. And the first one would've sounded a little better if you would've had to love you a one or a few bars and then play the full sample one time at the end of the bar
The first beat was good until you started adding that disco song. It also wouldve sounded better if you had used a more industrial sound rather than a conga.
Please let me correct on what is Techno. Techno Phenomenon of 21. Century. It begins in 80' far away from the public and then 90'and it was unbelievable in those times . People from all over the world were thinking exactly the same. I can talk for hours and at the end I can show something but doesn't matter today because EDM is sigh of stupidity it's a first sigh of the land of Astounauts, "Science" , Capitalistic Utopia but we all supported and EDM wtf 😂
