I let a random generator decide EVERY room in my Sims build... | Sims 4 Build Challenge 

A building challenge that might be interesting for you could be a Random Color Combo build. Done simply by setting up a color wheel and spinning it twice to pick two random colors to try and combine for a room's decor. So you might end up with lemon yellow and pale purple as your colors, and while this might be great for a bedroom, it could test you if it's the color combo for the kitchen. Just a thought. haha

the backyard is gorgeous but both sides where you get on the monkey bars are blocked by plants. i can only imagine the mum yelling at the kid to not stomp on her flowers heh

The back yard is definitely my favorite spot, but my favorite room would have to be the kids room. Most people think of kids rooms as bright happy spaces but I actually really like how the stormy colors came out. Overall a fun build! Lemon tree 🍋

TBH, that kitchen was real as hell. It looks like an amalgamation of things someone collected over time combined with an underlying foresty theme that is slowly taking over as they collect more pieces to replace the old, eclectic ones.

Just want to say, the back yard on this house is *totally* the yard in the neighborhood the HOA gets up in arms about, but it turns out the yard is a great migratory stop or nesting area for rare butterflies and birds, so it ends up protected by the Fish and Wildlife/government and the HOA can't do anything but be salty xD Also one of my favorite parts of the build. It's gorgeous!

I honestly wanna see that challenge, someone starting out with a tent in a yard and a sale table and slowly putting what they earn into a house. They could also travel hunting collectibles. Bonus points if it's an orphaned kid or teen.

I thought a good build challenge would be you can’t change the swathes or colors of items so say you want a blue dresser but when you place it the default color is red so you can’t change it☺️

This may or may not already exist, but a fun challenge would be you have 2 minutes on an empty lot to grab every item you think you need to build a house and then you have to build the shell that will use every item to see how complete/cohesive you can make of a house. I'm planning to try this on TS3 so here is to hoping it is fun!

Linoleum is not poured, it is in sheets/tiles that they glue to the sub floor. That is the type of flooring that is common in schools and stores all over the US. I grew up (1980s') in an apartment with linoleum floors dating back to the early 50's. They were avocado green and chipped and cracked and were in really bad shape. The carpets were terra-cotta and harvest gold mixed. No, the landlord/owners had never remodeled or anything. Concrete floors (can be dyed and patterned etc) are poured as well. And then sealed and polished. That is the type of flooring that they have in some supermarkets etc. The ones around here, only a Walmart and Safeway, both pulled up the old linoleum (in the last 5 years or so) tile and just polished and sealed the concrete underneath. It is easier and cheaper to maintain than having to replace linoleum tile every 25-30 years. Regarding a porcelain showers. Porcelain tiles are not uncommon in showers, especially in the past. They are just hard to clean (especially if the grout is poorly maintained) so people prefer the tile-free carbon fiber showers nowadays. Dusky colors are like colors that look moldy. Like they have grey mixed into them. Any color can be mixed with gray to look dusky. Like dawn to dusk, staring to get dark. Regarding "old fashioned", yeah, that is subjective. But there are definitions for other words like "antique", that is anything over 1 century old, so occasionally people get a grandparent that is an antique. "vintage" means actually from the appropriate era, like "vintage" Garbage Pail Kids cards are from the 80's. A "vintage" 1950s car would be made then and still have the tail fins etc. If they were to reprint GarbagePail Kids cards, they would be reproductions and not vintage.

Dusk means Sun Set... So dusky colors would be; soft reds, pinks, oranges, golden, soft yellows and some blues. Dusk is when you see all these colors blending in the sky, as the sun sets.
