Awww. Way to go Aria! Cutting girl’s hair can be a minefield. My dad ended up cutting mine back in April. He was so terrified that he was going to mess up, lol. Let’s just say we ended up coming out of the whole experience reasonably unscathed and I ended up with a shorter than planned but, overall a decent haircut.

Having your guy cut your hair for you is a great bonding experience, I have been having my husband cut my hair for me since we first met. Mine is about the same length as yours, and I have him give me a trim every couple months to remove the splits/damage and keep my ends neat, only about an inch, nothing drastic. I suggest you get a decent cape and being your hair is thick like mine, that you get a set of hair clips, so he can section and pin your hair and let it down in increments to trim each layer in manageable amounts as if you try to cut through too much hair at once, the blades push the hair before it cuts leaving an uneven line. Being your hair is long, you should have him learn to do different braids for you. My guy has learned to do French, Dutch, fishtail, wraparound, side, four strand as well as a simple three strand braid. I have him braid my hair for me every morning before work. I get compliments on my hair and asked how I do the braids. I tell them I take a seat and tell hubby what I would like. I enjoy the bonding experience of having him do my hair.
