in the highway map i used to spawn nothing till the air combat stage is over then i send 2 white swans carpet bomb the highway front and often manage to capture like 75% of the road
you *can* order your TU-160 to fire its cruise missiles from much further away by queuing orders with Shift, first ordering it to move to a position and then with the precision strike command. You could stagger these orders to keep the bomber far away from the enemy.
This just keeps looking better and better. Really enjoyed the demo last year and can't wait for the open beta test! Also, I really hope they have a 'replay' system where we can watch the battles we just fought, so we can actually zoom in and enjoy all of the gorgeous spectacle of modern warfare
Looks very cool, although I’m missing the feeling of destruction. The explosion effects are disappearing way too quickly and we have no craters or smoke. If they would add these things it would look causally like a war place
Mannnn, this is one of my most anticipated games. Eugen really messed up with sticking to the Cold War era. They basically said they aren’t interested in innovation, and have been replaced completely. I’m grateful for Broken Arrow to help save the genre. Modern is untouched.
Vulcan, could you do a little head-to-head between Broken Arrow and Warno please. What are the differences and unique features of each? If I wanted to only learn and play one game, that would really help me choose.
The air battle and air support in this game is just mesmerizing. It actually looks like air vehicles play more active role rather than call it if an ground unit cant get to its target.
Looks awesome. But I really dont like the idea that units recover after death. I love the system of Wargame and Warno, where you play with a finite amount of units and if you loose one, its gone for the match. It is more immersive and opens up tactical options. If you kill the heavy tanks of the enemy completely, you got yourself an advantage. Whereas if you kill a unit/unit type completely in Broken Arrow, you have a fixed time window where the unit is not available for your opponent. Its more forgiving and does not make sense. A Brigade does not get tanks out of thin air, if their tanks died. But I get that it is easier to balance a game, if you cannot lose units completely.
To me it almost feels like a Company of Heroes system. More units you have, less income you get. Hero units can be replaced when you can afford them. Makes the game entirely about tempo.
@@VulcanHDGaming I dont know how much of a direct competition it will be against Warno for folks who like the Wargame/Warno gameplay more. But for everybody who wanted Eugene to go Modern Age it sure as hell will be an alternative.
I think its mechanics basically follow on from those used in World in Conflict, where you had a similar cooldown time before you could order a given type of unit in again. Which did make for quite a different type of game, compared to Warno/Wargame.
I'm sure you are aware, but I'll say it anyway. You can queue orders for all your units using SHIFT, especially useful for arty like the GRAD. You can tell them to shoot, SHIFT+rightclick the next location and they will move as soon as they finish their barage.
I wish they had better terrain deformation from al the explosions. Part of what made WiC so fun was to look at the map after the game has ended to marvel at the sheer destruction.
One of the main reasons Im getting a pc. I love how you can individually customize units. And its near future so you get to play with T-14s and a bunch of other crazy stuff.
it was actually better a year ago , idk why they changed the sound of some explosions and small arms like it was better and louder it felt like a real combat zone . its still good but its kinda repetitive
6:01 Someone in the US Military's Chief of Staff is totally gonna get fired for that. Imagine letting the enemy to do a conventional carpet bombing on a thick line of your infantry inside a bunch of Commie Blocks. 😂
Mainly because it was a stream and there's a lot of interaction with chat that isn't relevant. Furthermore, just wanted to focus on the unit interactions and important information.
I hope we get an ROE mode where indiscriminate destruction of everything will be punished somehow. The amount of ordenance expanded in this one battle is hella unreasonable.

i know this is a dumb thing to complain about since it's a game and it needs to be balanced but it feels so weird that the russians have all this prototype equipment that they're barely able to produce meanwhile the us are using shit like dragon 2s and m60a1s
@@noosa187 older stuff that they actively use in their military the dragon 2 has been retired for decades, the last remaining ammo stock was destroyed in 2009 the m60 was fully retired in 1997, and while the us still has some in storage none of them are m60a1s if anything the russians should be balanced through quantity, as the us has to ship everything they use over the atlantic while the russians can just put it on a train and ship it to the front not by letting them spam out equipment that they can't produce, don't produce or are too afraid to put on the frontline
@@squiggles5640Decks are customizable, it's the US's side fault for having outdated stuff in their deck, could have been the same for Russia's side. For example, he doesn't have any sead capable aircraft in the deck which heavily affected their performance.
@@cerebelul im talking the game in general man, not the decks i only played the single player mission demo when that was out and like one of the first things i noticed is that i was pulling out dragon teams instead of javelin teams its just a gripe i have about what is supposed to be a modern strategy game giving one side tech that it no longer uses and the other side gets tech that it doesn't really have
Pilots are considered ‘hors de combat’ when out of their aircraft. Their part in the fight is over. Paratroopers are just getting started, and therefore are fair game.
that might be a good game done by competent specialists, but the game studio is situated in russia (sammara city) . when buying games from russia , you indirectly support their war effort. because developers get their salaries, then pay taxes from those salaries and pay additional taxes for goods and services. then those taxes transform in bombs, mines, bullets or just salaries for soldiers. you might join club of "games are are of politics", but face the reality - they are not. I don't like the trend of promoting russian games like : warthunder, where one of the CEOs is owner of Gasprom; recent rouge trader from Owlcat Games (another game studio from russia); escape from tarkow , where developers directly support the state; atomic hart. it's not a direct critic of Vulcan or his subscribers. I just want to share the info and let people know those details before someone might invest in those games.
