Yessir, No suspension.. No Torque Converter.. Slower and Noisier. Still somehow find this bike better than my luxurious land yacht of a “Mini” bike. Thanks for watching.
I’m on my third one. First one was $400 from tractor supply about 10 years ago. Sold it to my sone for his son. Found a second one and sold it to my son. Had a hard time finding one but found like the last one on Amazon. Now with inflation $850 with free shipping. Yeah. Ok. Other Coleman bikes were $500 with $350 shipping. So there you have it. But yeah we love em. Good geometry. Comfortable. My last one I put on smaller softer rubber grips. The MX foot pegs. A air filter adapter with a 90 degree 2.5” silicone elbow the big red oversize air filter tucks it in nicely to the frame. Looks cool. Sounds a little deeper throatier. Peppier too. This last one was stripped. I had to buy the front and rear racks separately.
They are sweet! I own 2 of them, 2016’s and I love them too. I’m doing a resto on 1 currently with mods to make it my hunting bike. I also have a Baja30 doodle for the grandsons who love to rip it! I bought the pair of ct200u’s for $330 total that’s less then 170 each. Of coarse they didn’t run so… I had to sand blast the fuel tanks and put new carbs and brakes on them. I believe the previous owners, brothers, beat on them for the first year and then that sat for a long time. They are tough no doubt! The hunting bike is getting new wheel and neck bearings. Predator 212, torque converter and 60 tooth sprocket. A new Sunf tire for the rear and thumb throttle too. Maybe more later idk. Thinking of fabricating a springer seat for it also. I have one in the UK that's sat in the garage for several years. It has a kind of whirring sound when you let off the throttle. I've oiled the clutch bolt, but not sure if the jackshaft bearings might need to be greased. I just have a feeling it's not supposed to make a noise when you let off the throttle. I didn't hear it on your bike, but then you were going quite slow, so it may be when it's going faster.
I love my Trailmaster MB-200, but if this is what you like, that's all that matters. Having fun is the bottom line. When you get older, I think you'll prefer the full suspension bikes more. Lol
I still have mine but hardly ride it much anymore. Planning on putting a real tank on it. I Like the Trailmaster but I like the small wheeled minibikes better.
I've never owned a coleman mini bike, but I have owned a baja warrior but sold it, and still currently own a trailmaster mb200-2 and a mega moto 212 pro. I prefer having front and rear suspension for the area I ride in. To me the warrior had too light of a frame, I like the bigger tube frame mini bikes. If the coleman mini bikes is your prefer ones, go after them, get what you like, not follow the hype.
I got the TM MB200 because of the “hype” around it. *oh, it’s the best MiniBike there is* says Greg from RBG. It’s comfortable yes. But it’s not a MiniBike. It’s too big for me. I think MiniBike, I think of 100 series we have today. That’s a true sized MiniBike. However, I do have a utilitarian side where I want a bike that can do work like hauling or pushing stuff around. Doesn’t necessarily need to be a MiniBike or miniature but it does get bonuses if it is. I would like to get a CT200U with taller tires and a constant variable transmission. That’s it. Super easy and simple.
