I've been living full-time for three years exploring in my BMW X5. I've spent zero cash to change anything from stock. It's been a fantastic vehicle to travel in and as a comfy home. I love it! 🙂
Props for getting what YOU want and being hands on with it. Sure a Tahoe or Suburban would serve the same purpose for way cheaper and being more sensible but it will never be as cool as a Cayenne! Sweet ride.
Ive been a Cayenne fan for the last two days. We found one we want to test drive soon. Im not sure if we will offroad ours, but Im loving this channel regardless!
I have done the similar in 06 model fully loaded CayenneS. I have yet to have major issues and I don’t baby it. I don’t think peolpe know how tuff these cayennes are. Only problem is major parts if neede will be alot dearer than a toyota for example. because of the import cost and availability on the part. You can daily drive these 4wd pretty hard and it will handle it. And fix what breaks and stay on top of it
Inspirational bro! My Cayenne might not end up quite as sick as yours cause it's not quite overland 😏 being set up as an offroad work truck... keep up the great vids man
Love the blooper at the end 😄 Man I found you on Tik Tok wanted more of the Cayenne. Love the details. It gave me some insight on what to expect when shopping around. Keep producing it bro 🤞🏽 hopefully a sponsorship comes soon.
@@HarrisonSchoen sorry, just haven't gotten to it I guess. Fascinating content. I'm currently shopping for a Touareg TDI. Poor man's Porsche I guess lol. I'd buy a Porsche except I can't find one reasonable.
Hey man it's a great video but I have a suggestion. Can you please for the sake of god look a little more alive on these vids? I know it's really hard to do these videos for some people but it would make all the difference if you had more light in you while filming. Thx for listening
@@HarrisonSchoen no Harrison I just noticed that your mood is a little off. If you could be a little more happy and just be a little loud and smile. What I'm trying to say is your videos provide a lot of information but I literally feel depressed watching them. And one more piece of advice you could use your bodh more often like moving your hands while saying something etc. Just look at david dobrik or graham stephan. They always use body language to their advantage and have a nice smile on their face. Not critisizing or anything. Your videos are really unique and I'm waiting for more )
@@oyunclgn654 I apologize as I was taught not to move my body or talk with my hands while in the military, so it's a bit hard for me to show emotion! It's something I'm trying to work on! I will do better :)
It’s in the description also! But here it is! ru-vid.com?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqa2V6Tkw4Tjc5U3JMdUdEaElaYUxDMHc4UnJQQXxBQ3Jtc0tuRkNYaXM4N2tPMnFmV1E5UFFxUU9JeHJxNEU4c2hZOUVqUURkVWtwTkhValVwVmk0UzJZaEk1dlBoQmdCeEt6QzVXSmc1TTA3WjVNUFptMnBmM3o3UjNlSHdoMW54YmM1alU2amJzMjNxRmxmZ0lYQQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Famzn.to%2F3wL0g9u
Great video! Quick question, I know you said you have the 4in lift kit in this video but in another video with the jeep, you said it was 3in. Just curious which one you used? The website has a picture of your car on the 3 in one. Thank You! Would love to learn more about your build, I have the same model Ive been working on.
Hey man! so for the first few months of ownership I had purchased the 4" lift but was mistakenly sent the 3" when I received it, they measured out to 3" but I didn't put any thought into it
when I reached out with my suspicion they verified I had the 3" by mistake and offered the correct lift or a refund and I just chose the refund! No one's really caught that besides you. haha
@@HarrisonSchoen thanks for the info! I’m trying to accommodate the 33in tires and see where I can save on the suspension if I went with the 3in instead of 4. Did you have to take out the wheel liners? Or was the lift enough
Tinting the windshield is a terrible idea. I had mine tinted and it ruined my eye sight. Also impossible to drive at night. I had only 50% tint. Get a privacy curtain instead
Yeah. But then he'd be in a Toyota. And we're all used to seeing people use inexpensive, boring, dime a dozen Toyotas to overland, or live in temporarily. Because they are way cheaper. But what would grab the viewers or possible subscribers attention if he'd chosen a 4Runner over his Cayenne? Probably very little, if anything. The Cayenne is infinitely cooler, and more interesting. I wanted to install one of the factory spare wheel holders on my Turbo S way back in 2006 because I thought it made em look younger and sportier. Because I just turned 24, and wanted something that reflected my personal style. There's a reason people put Porsche posters up on their bedroom walls when they're kids and into Adulthood. Why he would rather spend 10x on his Cayenne instead of some Toyota. It's the emotional connection and feeling one has to whatever they choose that can be the determining factor over the cheapest alternative. A life without passion is no life at all. It's just an existence. Took mine up above timberline one 4th of July in Leadville Colorado the first year of ownership. It wasn't planned. But to everyone's surprise, my "Beverly Hills Soccer Mom Car" in 22" wheels and Michelin Summer tires was the only vehicle that made it back out of the camping spot (after it rained that whole weekend) without any help. My friend's lifted Wrangler Rubicon had to use his winch, and I had to turn around and go back after I got back out to the highway, hookup to my friend's brother's popup camper and drug it up to the highway and waited for 3 hours for them to get his big burly Jeep, and his big burly brother's new lifted F150 off-road "apocalypse proof" pickup up to the road. I especially love the pictures I have of me driving across the creek with my hoodie wearing faux-hawk sporting Schnauzer standing on the center console just happy as can be. While my polo shirt (with popped collar) wear'n Teacup Chihuahua poked out the top of his Louis Vuitton carrier in the passenger seat like "Bishhh wuhh?" and "what happened to Jeep?" It was a simpler time back then.
You mentioned in a different video that you considered Touareg but went with cayenne. Would love to know more about that decision. Touaregs should be a little cheaper than the cayenne up front and on maintenance for a comparable mode year, correct? Thx, dope car.
Glad to see folks discovering the capabilities of the Cayenne. I've had my eye on the Cayenne ever since Transsyberia - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BcSLMgBHlkY.html
