Sorry but Curtis doesn't have the feeling with the song like Randy Newman and Harry Nilsson did. It's just a good jazzy rendition.

I think, you think that because you heard the song from them first. Don't forget that this is a live version. Perhaps, a studio recording with a good production might change your mind.
