I heard this at an old fashion camp meeting service when I was a little girl. The Spirit of God just dropped it in my spirit at 1:30 something in the morning in 2022....My spirit is FULL!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Now this is good old time church. These saints aren't worried about a clock; nobody's looking at a watch; they are just basking in the day when they'll be THERE SITTING DOWN! GLOOOOOORYYYYY!!
It's interesting to me how such songs were passed down and passed around without ever being written down on paper. Or maybe they were written down, at some time? I don't know. What I DO know is that, the people singing it weren't using any hymnals or sheet music, that I saw. Did anybody ever get paid for composing the music? the lyrics? I'm genuinely curious about such things. I was just now telling my brother about a song I heard when I was a little boy, that was essentially a song leader singing something (that I didn't understand then and don't remember now) followed by a choir voicing the two-word chorus, "Sittin' Down!..." Call and response, again and again - "Somethin' somethin' somethin'... Sittin' Down!... Somethin' somethin' somethin'... Sittin' Down!..." It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but it sure sounded good. Those old church folk could har-mo-NIZE! Anyway, the song I heard as a child sounded nothing like the one in this video. The only similarity is both songs exclusively emphasized the lyric, "sittin' down." Fifty-plus years ago. I only heard it that one time. And I still remember it...
Reckly here implies “after awhile, soon, shortly, etc.”. Since the implication here is dying and meeting again in our HEAVENLY HOME after awhile is more appropriate.
Yall ever heard the elders say, "I'll be there directly?" (after while) Yes, LORD JESUS. I have never heard this hymn b4. Let me tell you that I am enjoying this very much. I love it when the saints come together and give love and thanks to THE FATHER. Yessuh! I'll be there directly. lol Yes LORD.
I knew it. I just knew that she would be the one. You could see the spirit come upon her about thirty seconds before the circle was formed. Wow. Nice service.
Y'all black folk, know EXACTLY what this sista mean when she say Reckly! Primitive Baptist, have the most Authentic Genuine Services I ever seen. The music is their voices coming together, with clap and stomping. At least they church,,, you don't have loud drummers, Keyboard players,,, playing blues and rap chords in Songs,, and Praise Team jealous of one another,,,, waiting on the leader to hush ,,,, cause to they want to lead,,,lol,, , baby this is just CHURCH,,, right hear...,,,,
What is Liz Swedlund comment talking about? Honey Shut Up, this is how they do when taking up their offering. Preaching is coming. And don't compare these Authentic Saints with no ole White Folks. If you pull up the preaching it's the same thing yo Pastor preached last Sunday. These folks , Loving ,Saved, Live Long, Healthy, Sharpe as a tack, and Know the Word. I grew up in this
I'll be there after while not right now some day when jesus christ raptures his church is when I'll be there that's what mother is singing and shouting about. If you have the holy ghost oh then you know what she's talking about. Praise God.
They are not holding her they are just surrounding her and the Spirit of the Lord is on her and she’s rejoicing in her spirit and soul. I can be very emotional as well as the Spirit of God ministering to her spirit
@@evelynf.harris-rayford904 Where are you located? I’m looking to take me a meandering road trip in the next few years, if the Lord so wills it. I love to travel off the beaten path, avoiding tourist traps, and meeting the real people. Praising Him from Queens, NY these days!👏🏼🙏🏼✝️🕊
@@mariekatherine5238 this conference is in Thomaston Ga. It is the Mt. Ramah Primitive Baptist Association general assembly. They meet Friday before the 1st Sunday in November.
@@brentjames6927 I went there once, Reckly, Georgia; to a Baptist Convention, no less. On the church bus ride back to Atlanta in the middle of the night, the driver had the radio on to help keep himself awake. Back then (mid 1980s), in that part of the world (Middle-Georgia/South Georgia), at that time o' night (2-to-3 in the morning), your radio choices are somewhat limited. On that ride, I heard, for my first time ever... "This Ain't My First Rodeo".
This is their song being shared to the RU-vid audience, It was birthed through probably many generations before we knew we were in the world, let's appreciate the keepers of this Gem, and thank God!
