I completely understand Dazai choosing Oda. The way Oda described him "an exceptionally smart child crying in the corner" he understood Dazai the best.
This would be a hard choice for Dazai because Oda recognized that Dazai was having a hard time and saw him for how he really is and not just a mafioso. Chuuya on the other hand was the only person who Dazai could just be a kid with and completely relate to.
i mean would u blame dazai oda was the only one who understand him and treat him as a kid and not as a mafiosa and was the one who made his life alittle more better anyone in his shoes would say the same thing

I hate these kinds of theories about dazai choosing odasaku over chuuya "oMg, d-dAzAi w-would choose o-oda over chuuya!.." like mother fucker almost made an entire city wash out to pieces just to prove his ex partner is a human!. I mean I get that he left because odasaku told him to, which was technically he did so he could fullfil his dying friend's wish!. the reason why he didn't told chuuya that he will leave was because he was too weak to do so, cause he knew full well, that he can't leave if chuuya said don't leave, because motherfucker said that he'll stay with chuuya no matter what, and he was, but he fullfil his dying friend's wish first!. chuuya even understands why he left!. and if chuuya knew dazai was going to leave and told him not to, dazai would fucking say "ok", because there's a difference between dazai's relationship with chuuya and odasaku's. please see what I'm putting here!. odasaku is dazai's father figure! while chuuya was the reason why he felt alive!. the difference is. dazai wouldn't choose oda, he wouldn't choose chuuya too, but instead he has that plan to choose both of them, so please bsd stans, realize my shit here!. 😢 (btw I'm not hating about the vid, cause I love the video, so no hate please🙏)

It'd be a really, really hard choice to choose between the one who understands you and doesn't see you as a monster but as a child. And between the one who gave you spark and rivalry and you found the one to annoy, but as I'm not a skk shipper atm. I'm not gonna say chuuya was the one who give him the reason to live so pls don't come at me, and also as a dazai kinnie, If I truly loved a chuuya person, I would possibly say yes. But I will choose my Odasaku person. (Pls, get my point, too, and don't come at me for the different ship, I'm a multishipper)
