I always wondered how some game cases got so beaten up and the discs so scratched. Watching this - I really get why now! You guys are so rough!! Amazing haul though!
@@MrWrightWay He mentioned doing Wata at 15:36 which (despite it being a scam) is entirely dependent on condition. Cardboard and plastic will scratch on cement. Especially when tossed carelessly. A simple tarp or blanket would have prevented it.
Rick you honestly deserve those subscribers and more. Quality content from a very friendly, warm and humble person! A big shout out from England from this fan 👍
Unbelievable score! My favorite part of collecting/flipping is cleaning up and "saving" these things so this would be a dream come true for me. Can't wait to see more videos on this score. Curious about it all, condition on the boxes and discs and all that you're able to piece together. Show it all! I've had some crazy scores but nothing on this scale, definitely a once in a lifetime find.
Been watching you for a minute now and this is my first time commenting. When I game it's on PC. But there's something about retro and collecting I Iove. This is why I love your channel. I live through you with all these game collection treasure hunts you go on. What a great hobby and way to make a living. You're truly blessed having this channel but you deserve it with the work you put into it. Keep up the great content and I look forward to the future of the channel. Congrats on purchasing your new game store btw. That blew me away!
That is absolutely nuts!!!!! Glad I found this channel. This is what I grew up playing. Had a few consoles In my life and today some new ones but I always run back to retro. Trying to fine dreamcast at the right price. Some crazy prices out there.
Wow, just wow! That's an unreal haul. I can't wait to see the total value after you and your friends go through all of it. Awesome job with the vid Rick! 👊
Just in awe of that score. I'm a thrifter too and I'm always looking forward to my next score. Enjoy sorting through that stuff, it's like Christmas morning
CONGRATS ON 100K! Your channel has been one of my favorite sources of entertainment over the last year since I've been watching. You've also been a huge inspiration behind me getting back into making content of my own. I lost all motivation during the summer of 2020 but your content and positive energy was a huge part in helping with all of that so thank you for doing what you do!
Another amazing video Retro Rick. I can’t wait for installment 3. A whole lot of treasure in this video. I’m sure a lot of great finds. Gotta love those old nes/Sega commercials. So classic. Brings back so many memories. Congrats on the 100K. And congrats to the winner of the PS5
Holy cow! 100k subs already? I subbed when Chase after the right price did a call out to your channel. That was maybe a year and a half or so and you had maybe 6k subs. Your channel grew fast! Love your content and look forward every time you upload. Congrats!
This is a great haul! It amazes me how much boxes without games are going for in price now. I also admire your perseverance in the reseller's market - it seems like such a grind to go out and find stuff to flip. Kudos to you for putting the hard work in!
Yo Ricky what amazing classics video games score and thanks for sharing your video with me thanks again 🙏❤️😱🤩👊👊 congratulations on 1001 subscribers on your channel 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🥳🥳
I can believe how chilled you guys were when sorting through it all.i would of been jumping around 😆i bet you didnt get much sleep its like christmas. Finds like this doesnt happen.well done rick
Congrats on the find and the 100k! Just found your channel last month and you've quickly become one of my favorite youtubers. Keep up the good work! (And give Star Trek collecting a shot! It's good for you! :D )
Can confirm. Last Battle is fantastic! Man, that must’ve been exhilarating and mind melting going through all that stuff. Y’all balled out! It’s been years since I hit a score that filled my SUV up. It used to happen a lot. Never as big as this obviously. But there’s been some great hunts!
This. Is. Insane. When he said there was another more on top of all the stuff in the first unit and Rick walked out with an armfull of 32X's my Mega Drive cried a single tear.
When I heard the toilet flush @ 18:42 Reminded me of a little TV Trivia. The classic show, All in the Family from the '70s, was the first TV show where you actually heard a toilet flush. Anyway, I have a feeling that with all of the stuff that y'all acquired that there might be another 1 to 2 parts. Keep up the good work. Love the vids.
First off congradulations on 100k subs. And thank you for the trip down memory lane Retro. My favorite games to play growing up for nes, snes, sega and n64 were super mario bro.1-7,Donkey Kong 1-n64 Mortal Kombat 1-u3,Streets of Rage 1-3,Sonic the Hedgehog 1-Sonic and knuckles,Golden Eye,Wcw world tour/Wcw Nwo revenge,Wwf Games,Tmnt games. So again thank you for the nostalgia and all the memories with it.
My uncle was in the Air Force for a long time. But he and his wife and my cousins have literally saved and taken great care of complete collections for every game system. They must have over a million $ worth of stuff right now
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers. WOW, awesome deal. Really love all of your videos. I'm very limited on what I can afford and I mostly collect comics, books and some DVD'S. I would really like to get a N64 Unit; a lot of the games I played growing up were the classics, Mario, etc. Watching your channel is a trip back to my childhood. Keep putting out your videos, seriously I look forward to seeing the next episode that comes out.
Hey Rick, Congrats on your 100k + subs. You have earned it purely from great content. Your honesty, the variety of what you put out and the consistency of your uploads all contribute to having this great and loyal following. Always see your video upload notifications and get a good feeling. 20-30 mins of quality entertainment awaits and you know that seems to be a rare thing nowadays.
That NES joystick brings me back to my childhood. I have 2 NES Quickshot joysticks in my room right now, and the black 9 pin ones were a great Commodore 64 joystick.
So happy for you Rick. That is a beyond awesome find and deal. Great stuff. Can't wait to see more of this haul. Keep up the great content. I hope to find something like this one day and hope to build my channel like you have. You are an inspiration to me and seem like a genuinely awesome guy, so you deserve this for your collection.
Loving these videos, makes me smile and just reminisce on old games, wish I could find get a Dreamcast to play, soon!, but love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹, congrats on 100k Rick
Thanks for sharing Retro Rick! That is an unbelievable find man and I hope you are savoring the moment. Please keep all of us posted and definitely let us know if there's any good NES or SNES items in there! I know I would love to know! 😉
Congrats on the success from all your hard work. This is awesome love to know when you and Chuck are gonna start listing these games and items. Even if it's just boxes and cases I still love to see if I can get any of these for my own collection to complete them out.
@@chuckjeffcoats5466 they were hilarious between songs when I saw them, but it was super experience being the two of them, and having the drum set set up so they faced each other through the show. Very unique. Lead singer is from Norma Jean, right?
@@CameronForrester yep! He was the lead singer of The Chariot too. I’ve seen Norma Jean and The Chariot, but haven’t had the chance to see 68’ yet. A buddy of mine got me this shirt when he saw them.
@@chuckjeffcoats5466 I feel bad. I saw them at a free show. I live near Buffalo NY, so Every Time I Die is the major band worshipped heavily around here.
So awesome, can't wait to respond to your 200k video, I love seeing good things happen to good people, congratulations and thanks for all your hard work!!!
Hey Retro Rick your 1 of my favorite youtubers evertime i watch your vids just fills my soul of reminiscing my childhood. By the way the items you're gonna sell is there a way to bundle certain games and consoles ( for example if I wanted to buy 4 DS with games how would I do that)
Great find but take a bit more care with the games and cases as people said put down a tarp and don't push about with your feet it's great to see a successful pick up but do treat the stuff with respect that others would if they were this lucky Still look forward to seeing what else you find
I’m not surprised you hit 100K, this channel is great. I’m a 35yo father of 4, husband of 1, and you have sparked my desire to go back to my “vidiot” roots. I recently purchased an old SNES and have started building my library (Super Mario world and All Stars, Turtles in Time, and Zelda a Link to the Past). Trying to show my kids what real gaming was like back in the day when I was their age. Thanks for the great family friendly and feel good content, brings back memories every time I watch. God bless buddy.
What a pickup. Just jaw dropping. It shows that bits of history are out there, they just need finding and then caring for! In 30 years time every single one of those boxes will be an irreplaceable memory for a lot of us. Look after them brother!
I just have to wonder how many units like this are out there. A local reseller bought a unit in an online auction right before Covid. When he got there to pick it up, it was actually 3 units full of games from someone that used to own a store in the 90's. I would assume there are other finds like this out there. Not to mention units owned by recent resellers. I sold a huge chunk of my collection to a reseller around 2011, and in 2014 a collector found all of them in a unit along with several other collections at a storage auction. The guy told me when he was picking them up that he was using his college loans to start reselling, and that he had some other big buys lined up. He was hoping to pay off the loan within a year with his profit from reselling. When I saw the post on Nintendo Age, I was amazed that almost everything I sold the guy was in the unit. I have a feeling the dude is somewhere out there with a huge student loan because he was too lazy to sell the stuff. I'm wondering if he got banned from ebay right away, or if he never even listed a single item.
This episode made me wanna start my collection...I had a decent collection when I was younger going to get back into it now ...still have my NES complete in box with a hefty amount of games...genesis is my favorite
@retroRick omg I have never seen so much games ever like this since I was in a blockbuster video when I was a kid in the 90s so thanks for making my childhood memories again
I'm gonna go with the others man: you need a crash course on how to handle stuff. Long time follower I appreciate you and your channel but get your sht together! Still is the find of the century I'd have thrown 2400 bucks to him in an instant! congrats on the find!
Great finds on the Sonic & Knuckles, I remember going to Video Ezy (Australia's version of Blockbuster) & renting it nearly every weekend, just to finish the game, even Soinc 2 & 3 with him in it. I've got that Digimon game too.
This is so crazy. When the seller was just like, "Yeah, I'll do $2400." I was thinking JACKPOT! There is so much awesome stuff in there! Looking forward to the next installment. Congrats on 100K!
Retro Rick please PLEASE make lots of methodical vids on your superb find toothcombing threw all your archiological discoverys 😂.. But seriously there is hours of content there I would be more than happy to oogle over.. Best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧.. Love your channel
