The songs of the past will always be remembered.. for me The Old songs are More greater than of todays.. The music of Yesteryears defines the true meaning of Music...
Oh for years of watching her performances and reading commentaries this is my first time to stumble my fellow. That's true, this song particularly is so popular in our country. I am an old soul of the current generation and I always feel alone for appreciating these classics' artist. She's my favorite diva next to Gladys Knights!
@@oldsoul_anth243 believe me, you're not alone. Im still dreaming she'll do a concert here in manila again. Its unlikely because she said she's close to stop from touring. But still, im hoping.
@@bjornironside261 Oh, that's true. I was 9 the last time she had a concert here in the Philippines and I am quite regretful thinking that she may not be able to do it again. The least I can do is to compile her incredible performances. Her voice is just simply haunting. Good to know you, mate
Dionne was in superb voice during this programme! Her voice had deepened significantly in 1988, yet she was still reaching some impressive notes during this special.
I love Dionne and I agree with you! I was also impressed when I saw her and Frank Sinatra sing together. He wouldn't sing with just anybody! And then to see him kiss her and the end was classy!
I totally agree you!! Dionne is pure classy (just look the way she sing, gets on stage, moves hands and look to the audience). A real lady who knows that she does not need to be jumping like a headless chicken to attract the attention of your audience.
Dionne Warwick did "I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again " on the Johnny Carson's show in which she sang that song as if her life depended on it she sang so hard ,and so beautifully with notes I have yet to hear her do again , that performance from the Carson's show was so stunning she got a standing ovation right through the commercial .she had them crying in the audience. It's ironic I've been looking to see if Dionne Warwick could repeat that performance, which lead me hear. It truly was a once in a lifetime performance. Not knocking this performance at all just adding to the phenomenal performer Dionne Warwick .all I can say is wow .go Dionne go.!
@@chasenip2 Oh wow I thought it was Burt Bacharach! I just doublechecked; it's a song by Richard Kerr and Will Jennings. Manilow was a producer for it not the writer.
..” Cuando había cantantes humanos en la tierra; te llenaban de amor , inspiración, y ternura hasta el cielo, Gracias hermosa! Dionne warwhick♥️✨✨✨🌹💫🗽💫🙏
Sometimes people talk about "emotional intelligence" with regard to a artist's performance - if there is such a thing, Dionne has a genius IQ - of course, the timbre of her voice is unmistakably beautiful, but the graceful way she uses that stupendous gift to express her elegant grasp of the full potential of what the melody and lyrics can communicate to and for and on behalf of the audience in every unique performance is pure "genius" - bravo!!
@GiuseppePascuale928 I could not agree with you more... And I LOVE her new CD Album "Only Trust Your Heart " and available at amazon.... I will show my support and order my copy. I thank you for taking the time to share your point as well. (smile)
Dionne is Dionne. Streisand is Streisand. I LOVE Dionne. Streisand, for me, is just a good singer. Dionne's voice is much, much, much better than Streisand's voice. I'm so sorry.
Today's generation (some, if not, most) doesn't understand "real music" such as classic love songs. If what they mean by cheesy is, great, INSPIRED melodies such as this, then I'd be cheesy for all I care...
@Koolson1 It's likely a mixture of smoking, overuse and technique. Dionne claims to be mostly self-taught, and in various performances from the 70s and 80s you can tell when she is shouting/straining within her upper chest range and not supporting the notes right. Add to that her busy touring schedule, frequent album releases, and the smoking habit, and it's no surprise her voice endured dramatic changes before age 50. I never count her out, though - she is a music prodigy and showbiz royalty.
Thank you for not being an asshole about your opinion, you put it out in a unhurt full way. And I agree with you, have you seen the song she did with Frank Sinatra he wouldn't sing with just anybody! Yes they were both older, put they did it better than any of the young one's.
essa música virou tema de SALVE JORGE, novela das 9 da Rede Globo, entrou no meio da trama, para embalar o casal Théo (Rodrigo Lombardi) e Morena (Nanda Costa)
