if enough people keep this kind of music in their heart the problems of today could not overcome the power of this music which lives in you...........but the youth of today grew up without it and they are now adults and i hope they find a place in themselves for this eras music ............i think it could literally stop todays wars /hate ..time to bring this music back to the masses🤗
Music from back in the day had something to say it either had you on the dance floor or you knew the lyrics from start to finish. Those were the days!!!!!
I grew with The Staples Singers music,Pop Staples looks like my handsome (deceased) Daddy 💔but still we rosed again...from The 70's on up good understanding music 💯👋👋👋🤔😅
David Hood of The Swampers at Muscle Shoals did the bass, and it simple kicks.. In my days as an aspiring (but in the end, unsuccessful) bass player, he was one of my heroes.
I appreciate the ads that support this kind of singing and the instrumental playing the most of all I appreciate the words thank you Ruby Taylor evangelist
Working From Home I have realized I forgot to take a break and late to lunch the vibe is real! 2022 still a vibe! Awesome music! Who still listening! Me!

Pops actually played the lead guitar. That's why Mavis was singing "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" during the guitar solo licks. But Pops was smooth as butter on guitar.
Great song but very strange. It has one verse at the beginning that seems to contradict itself and then just a groove jam until the end lol I don't know why but it works somehow. Thanks for posting.
The lyric continues past the interlude -- the full line is: "[There] Ain't no smilin' faces lyin' to the races". So she's talking about politicians lying to everyone. :)
