To answer your question about him. Singing a lot of Whitney Houston songs. on the Jennifer Hudson show. He said His father used to play a lot of Whitney Houston. Then he started humming and singing along and that's how he got started. Now what that aside most singers with big voices try to take on Whitney Houston music to show off. The reason why most singers chose Whitney over other power houses like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Pattie Labelle is because Whitney's music consistently challenges the head, throat, chest, & Abdominal voice. Also lots of runs and lots of emotion., and to hit high notes with full voice( no thinning). It's a very challenging thing to sing a whitney houston song or Aretha Franklin. Any voice can "sing" her songs but they rarley can deliver the impact that she can.
