I auditioned for Strut it Afrika(SIA)back in the day and there was no one as feared as Malaika her stare and one comment from her would cut through like a knife.If you weren't on SIA then you just didn't cut it as a model at any level period.Auditions used to run 3 days and every single day queues would run miles around the block in Nbi.I was in my first year of med school but SIA was so big and glamorous it made an aspiring doctor want to switch careers haha Don't get me started on their events..Ask any aspiring model where they wanted to be signed..SIA was always the answer.Her description of the company in the show was an understatement..because what Malaika and Moses ran was an empire but never have I seen Malaika so happy and so healthy.I didn't think she even knew how to smile..hehe I always wondered what happened to SIA..Malaika you are a force,with the same hands and mind you created SIA that just shows your potential.You have inspired so many of us.Your peace of mind and health is paramount and am sure not all is lost.I laughed when someone said you are no shark..but people don't know this lady.Ask Kenyans.
So ironical how we hide so much pain behind a beautiful smile and yet still inspire so many people. Such a blessed soul Malaika, Love you both! But also, isn't it amazing how we great we become once we receive Jesus as our Lord. He'll surely restore the beauty in you.

Ive recently come to know Malaika through social media and radio and she reminds me of myself in so many ways. watching this and i have tears in my eyes. my heart was heavy at some point in the story.....(ok so many points in the story), but then like she says, "the God we serve!" and my heart is light again because with God, she conquers every single time. I once had an interview with Malaika...we spoke about Youth and Politics. I was amazed. She really took me on and I had a fantastic time. Off the set she was also pleasant . Girl is awesome!!!

I can relate with you on the scars, the clip-ons and the health problems(not that we have the same issue) the difference is, you've accepted all of it and I am struggling to get to that point.. but after watching this, I'm inspired. I wanted to become a model but I gave up because of my scars. they black.
