I would fold the Aces I am replying before seeing your decision. The bet was too much to hope for a diamond. If he plays everything there are way too many combinations he could hold with the K of diamonds. If he has the flush already you’re going to win around 16% of the time. He also could have 2 pair which is still 36%. The best you could hope for is he shows AK.
That's what happens when you play the devil's game. Stay away from it, you'll get homeless soon... and none of the these suckers will give your money back.
Over 1,000 Subscribers so soon is absolutely unbelievable to me! Thank you all so much for subscribing and watching my videos. I really appreciate all of you! 💯🤙🏾
Please please please don’t stop. Keep doin this. You gonna take off in no time bro. Your funny. Your poker play is good. Video is good. This for the culture. Tilt proof
Just started watching your videos, dig your style!. Subcribed as soon as I saw the breakdown in the car - I know the feeling. Keeping it real, keep on keeping on.
Valdez youre a hella good player and content creator bro. Seeing your channel grow makes me happy and hits home because the Hangar is the first poker house i ever went to when i first started playing, and still do to this day. Keep grinding brother ❤ love from East Houston 🤘🏽
To be mentioned in the same sentence as Brad is unreal. Thank you my guy I really appreciate you. I’m not familiar with Jaman yet bet I’ll look him up and see if I can get some ideas from his vlogs as well. Thank you again for the compliment and I really appreciate you for watching bro.
🎉😂😂😂Was crying with all types of laughter watching this Vlog. And it's my first of your videos, your like Phil Ivey mixed with Cris Rock/Dave Chappell😂. Keep it up" King "hope to see you on Poker after dark and WSOP main event final table one day😊🎉
It's pretty heavily dependent on the player type, but considering you are holding the Ace of diamonds, you block his semi bluffs there. I'm not sure if I would have been able to make the fold, but I actually think that spot is indeed a fold.@@ValdezPoker
lol! Love the humor and how real you display your emotions. You had to call with Aces with the diamond. You were getting a little over 3 to 1 pot odds on your 64s flush hand. You only need to be right on a call around 25% of the time. Enjoy your vlog.
Because you described the villain as a wildcard - I support the call and draw to a bigger flush. But if this was a good player - I assume they are holding K-3 of diamonds and it’s a fold. No shame in taking an L with bullets and a draw here. Nice work, Valdez!
One of ur vids showed up on my timeline about a week ago, I loved the video so I subscribed but you only had like 500 subs, I look a week later and your almost at 2k...DAYUUMM, congrats bruh. Im not surprised, you do a good job on your videos. Also, that drive home was HILARIOUS...we've all been there. "SWALLOW YOUR PRIIIDE AND JUST FOOLLDD!!"😂 ....Keep up the great work
Valdez! Been here since vlog 1! Huge supporter! Congrats on 1k and can’t wait to watch you go to the mooon! Small piece of advice, might want to cut out some audio that has copyrighted music playing in the background for too long. Don’t want a copyright strike !
Thank you so much man I really appreciate you! And I get monetized next week so I’ll be able to see what I can and can’t get away with. But right now I can’t really tell what they would copyright strike because I’m not monetized yet. But I’ll definitely be on the look out for that. Thanks man, I really appreciate your input
@@ValdezPoker Are you going to go to the wsop? Not sure even if you like tournament poker, but honestly bro this channel can only grow and grow, thanks for the reply to.
Your production value is on point your place is good. You got this in the year from now. You’re probably gonna make more money doing videos then playing.
Man, I just started seeing your vlogs. I’m hooked. You’re very entertaining, honest with your reactions, and show the ups and downs of playing poker. Most ppl just show all their winnings. Like they never lose. You’re on your way of being the next big poker vlogger. Keep up the great work. Humble is too far for me to go play. I’ll stay in Katy. Much love partner.
I'm calling with the AA. The way you described him, we're still ahead a lot of the time, especially holding the Ad. If we're behind, we're never that far behind. Flush? Seven outs. Set? 11 outs. Two pair? 17 outs! I like your reaction though, because I wouldn't have expected the check-jam either, but then I'm calling a lot quicker.
Also, I hate your flop c-bet sizing. Either he missed completely, he hit the K, or he has a (diamond) draw. Ignore the first scenario, and bet ~$125 instead to target the latter two. 8:19 Calling 35 with JT should never be your target value range. Calling 125 with a draw would be a mistake on his part, so capitalize on his mistakes. Also becomes much more reasonable to check back turn for pot control, and then you can consider folding river to a jam. Kx calls 125 so often (or even check-raises sometimes) that you'll instead be laughing on your ride home.
I am a “rook”. First year actually trying to win. And it’s their job to count the chips out. Nobody trips about how you bring the chips to the cashier. Thanks for watching
Watched the billionaire vid yesterday, loved it. I really like your video style and commentary lol. It's fantastic and funny. I looked up the Hangar online and it looks great. I'm up in WA state so it may be a while before I ever get down there, but I think that the no rake thing is amazing. Membership $50/month, and then do you pay a fee by the hour? You'd be SHOCKED what card rooms are raking up here-- $8 a pot if the pot is $40 or more (a small amount less for smaller pots). I've found rooms that are beatable, but dayyyyum. So much just disappearing down the hole. Keep it up brother. Fun channel!
Awesome how generous you are with the dealers. I end up making "friends" with all of them and the players too, so I think I end up tipping a little too much at times. Thoughts on that in the long run? Sometimes I add it all up especially after big losing sessions and the amount I'd tipped is pretty massive
yea bro tips can definitely add up! I try to tip a fair amount but I play for profit and I keep track of my tips as well so I definitely have to find a nice medium. And thanks for the complements on the channel bro im glad you enjoy it man I really appreciate you!💯
True feeling of a poker player. Ups and downs. Great vlog and love the camera angle from the top. Also showing the time is great. I know it takes a lot of work. Keep at it youngster. Congrats on over 1k sub. Wondering what you do for work. Question. Have you ever played poker in okc?
Thanks man! And I make mostly all my money grinding as of right now. And no I’ve never played in OKC but definitely would and looking forward to traveling to play in the future!
love the vibes in your videos bro, keep doing your thing. subscribed! edit: same thing happened to me at the end, except i was all in with jacks and my opponent had queens. missed the straight river draw
I was in houston recently and my first choice of place to play was the Hangar to possibly get into a game with Valdez, but I was in the totally wrong part of town for that. The aquarium was an hour away! Hopefully next time.
I've never related to someone so much in my entire life during the spoiler alert I thought I was the only one that screamed and cried in my car after making bad f****** decisions😂😂
Hey mate! I like your game play and content your putting out I enjoy it. Some constructive feedback for yourself, I would like to see the hands that you lose too, not to suggest you lose more than you win, just would be cool to hear you opinion when it goes wrong also. From some random dude in England 👍
Howdy Mate from Houston! First of all, thank you for watching and I appreciate the constructive criticism. But to respond to your feedback. I always put the 6 or 7 biggest hands of the night. Whether I win them or lose them. And on this vlog that you’re commenting under, I lost 3 out of the 7 hands in the vlog. (Losing the 2 biggest hands). And the result of the session was me losing over $2,000. So to respond to your feedback in short form, I put whatever interesting happened that night. Good or bad. Thanks again for the feedback
@@ValdezPoker brah to be honest I watched only 2 of your videos but watched the rest in between this comment and your response, I see you put losses too. Sorry for commenting to hastily.
GD...I know that crying feeling on the 2.5 hr ride home. Just started watching you. Amazing content. Ty. Had to show the wife from the time I was like that. Lost 1200
Just started watching your vlogs man. I’m a mediocre player…your analysis and commentary has helped me step my game up. Keep up the great work sir! Thank you!
NO SHOT you folded 64 spades to THAT GUY???... OF ALL PEOPLE!! Cant talk about me getting bluffed anymore hahahaha!! ol lady in this video has been like that with every single person at some time or another, she doesn't like anyone that can beat her in poker, probably just said the shit about the camera to get a rise out of you. Regardless, if she dont wanna be on camera she has the choice to no sit and play. Good VLOG bro keep at it
Yeah man, you’re right. You can’t always make the right call. The best in the world make the wrong calls everyday. There’s too many variables. It’s called gambling for a reason. 👍🏻😜
Thanks as always bro! And nope. I’m 100% black but my grandmother named my dad Valdez because apparently as a first name, it means strong leader. So she named him that and I’m the second.
The pocket aces hand, holding the ace of diamonds, you just have to pay that one off. 64 of spades is also a call for sure. Considering what you made it on the flop. But I don’t mind the play with pocket tens. You obviously obviously had some history with her so it is very very Player dependent. I just happened to come across your vlog last night. What I see, I like. So I subscribed. Looking forward to your next one. 👊🏻♠️
Hey, don't rattle the fish... it gives them incentive to step they game up... you have to encourage it, not embarrass him... I would've been like nice hand man....😂
😭😭😭never heard this logic. But some fish are so bad it doesn’t matter what you say, they’re going to forever be bad. Lmao there’s just no hope for some ppl 🤣🤷🏾♂️
w the 64ss what are you thinking the turn 5 changes? Someone fills up and just open rips a boat? If you are beat its something like JsTs that flatted the flop raise unlikely to play like this tbh. You have to call $445 to win $1650 gotta have the best hand like 20% of the time for the call to be profitable. Not sure how you fold especially with As on the board removing so many of the flush combos. A reasonable range has like 15 flush combos here, most don't play like this imo, need like 4 bluffs or spazzs to call.
Just saw your explanation and reveal of his hand. Yea we all make mistakes. Again I don't think people play boats like this I would be more likely to fold if he led turn for $100 than all in. It's only vulnerable flushes IMO. Plenty of hands with the Ks or Qs to find bluffs from when getting 4:1.
I can easily tell by your comment that you’re 100% better than me. I just made a mistake. No real explanation. Didn’t even take into account the pot odds in the moment. I just didn’t think he was bad enough to shove a hand worse than mine of that turn card. Turns out I was wrong. Thanks for your comment my guy. Comments like these makes me a better player!
@@ValdezPoker Yea if you want an easy way to improve you should always consider the price you are getting laid by the pot. Price you are laying your opponent when making a bet. N most how many bluffs or hands worse than your need to be in your opponents range for your call to be profitable based on the price you are getting laid.
You asked what would I do with the aces and nut flush draw. I would assume that I need the flush to hit in order to win. And being that I am not good enough to fold in that spot. I would most likely call the all-in
Finally someone who says we’ve all been there. If people watch my first vlog ever which was less than 2 months ago… I said that this channel was for entertainment first. Never claimed to be a poker pro but you still gonna always have some poker know it alls in the comment section.
The aces hand was tough. That turn is probably a check back so you can avoid exactly what happened; getting raised and having to fold out so much equity. Once you bet and get jammed on you have to fold though. You’re getting shit odds and are clearly way behind. You’re calling 445 to win a total pot of 1346. You need 33% equity there. If he already has a flush then you have 7 outs at best. 7x2=14%. It’s a fold big dog. You are never ahead and drawing thin. Also the 64ss hand is a wicked tough spot. Against most players I think the fold is fine. Your opponent just read from your raise on the flop that you already had a flush and used the board pair to get you off it. Or he’s just a donkey. Either way, tough spot. Sorry for your loss, I know that drive home all too well.
@@ValdezPokerEither way both are tough ass spots. Your vlog has come a long ways in a few short episodes man. I’ve started really looking forward to uploads.
I am guessing with that hand where you had the Aces, you were playing the player, rather than the cards. Something I often have to remind myself, is that even maniacs/fish can hit a hand.
One other thought on your flush hand. There was $1205 in the pot so the SB would have no problem getting his last $400+ of his money in the pot by checking and betting river. If he had a boat why shove you off of your hand? If he has a flush why not check call?
I agree, but I didn’t bet enough on the flop to really see how interested he was in the pot. So after the flop he could’ve had anything including bottom pair (knowing that player). If I would’ve bet more on the flop, I could’ve narrowed his range down more to hands like flush draws so I could then check the turn. But I bet the turn because I didn’t have enough information about his hand and I had the nut blocker. Oh well, you live and you learn. Thanks for watching!
absolutely check the turn. If he has the flush you get a chance to hit yours. and, if he has the K diamonds you get paid off when a flush hits. Are you getting 4 to 1 odds after his shove?
yea, should've checked there but he's so bad I could've easily still been ahead. Against a good player I snap check back. He could've been calling me on the flop with anything.
@@ValdezPoker I like your pod cast and your play. What I've come to believe happens in every loosing session I have, I won't get off a hand cause I don't want to be bluffed!! Let me make a statement and please tell me how you see it. Very few times are small stake players bluffing! Thank you and God bless.
11:00 what are you hoping he has? He’s not shoving one pair on this turn unless it’s exactly KdXx like KdQx for example. Getting 2 to 1 the redraw isn’t getting nearly the pot odds. Seems like a trivial fold. All that aside, love the vlogs. Am a new fan. Good content!
Still learning pot odds bro. In the moment I was just thinking he’s a bad player who could have worse. (Because he is, he’s terrible). But I definitely see your point of view. I’m glad you enjoy my content bro. Thank you so much for watching
Not a serious question, but really, how do you fold anything to any of those players.. ever. Tell you what - take emotion out of your game, stay friendly but only cold blood. They make you play perfectly against them by shoving when they can only have a nutted hand or bluffing when there’s no story to tell. Run cold blooded, and run deep.
