I like when Jay said "I can never seem to do stuff the same way..." because to me, that shows how custom it really is. How personal it can get when going for a really stand-out or themed build. It would seem that all high end pcs would look the same. Flashy lights and water loop. But Jay really puts that touch on it that gives you that Custom Personal Computer vibe.

Jay, the idea you had adding an LED to the blaster explosion would make it stand out so much more. You really should consider doing it. Also, I think it would be sick if you have Mega Man hanging off the flat part of the tube connecting the reservoir with the hole you drilled out and the CPU and make him look more dynamic using some kind of blinking LED effect to simulate the blaster firing. I don't know if there is more room in the model itself for additional LEDs but honestly, it would make it stand out so much more with more blinking shit.

I think if he'd ditched the distro and front mounted the rad instead of placing it in the bottom it would have solved for a lot of the issues in the bends, not being parallel from one another

You could put Mega Man in a pose like he’s wall kicking or sliding down the wall of the back of the case just to the right of the mobo behind the return line from the CPU. And have his canon firing back at the glass panel. Or if you can 3D print a piece to hold him in mid air and make it look like his riding the return pipe from the CPU (sort of like a zip line) and firing his canon at the front of the case.
@digitalbaka7722
@digitalbaka7722 Год назад
Definitely getting Mega Man vibes from this loop. All the fittings are really making it work. A thought for the figure: could you swap or print a hand that would let him hang from the long tube in front of the big res? Would need to be careful about putting too much weight and popping it out of the rad or creating sag though.

Just had a thought… all motherboards are a flat one piece pcb… how about modular boards (similar looking to a raspberry pi super computer, but I digress!) Gpu’s compartmentalised, so it’s possible to squeeze into a case compartments for separated cooling rads and fans, Venturi’s to increase airflow over rads , increasing the volume of cooling fluids and to keep the cooling away from heat sources. Revolutionised pc cases built around a cooling solution

Here's how to fill the system without any air remaining inside. Zero, guaranteed. Finish the run, decide where you have you fill port and make an adapter that goes from an adapter (from the fill port) to a valve to a hose (preferably something pliable like oxygen hose) then back to a threaded end, but with a Y valve (or you can put a Y pipe and two pieces of hose with two separate taps, if you can't find a Y valve). These fittings can be run of the mill garden stuff. Once you're done, close one tap (of the two) and run vacuum (nothing big, just enough to collapse that soft rubber, too much and you risk doing damage) on the other. Remove all the air in the installation and close that tap as well. The hose should be collapsed and holding (this also helps you figure out if the installation is leak proof or not. Once you're assured there's no leaks, pour all the coolant (and a little bit more) you need and submerge the taps in the coolant. Release either of the valves and the coolant will be sucked inside the installation. No air will remain, since no air is inside the system, only vacuum. As long as the valve remains submerged, you'll have a full system. The tricky part is now to remove the hose without spilling stuff everywhere. Close the valve by the fill port, and position the PC in a position where no coolant will leak from the threaded hole of the fill tap, if it were to be on its own. I'd use some Plasticine to make a small dam around the fill hole and remove the contraption allowing the little coolant between the valve and the fill port to spill. Removable of said coolant can be done with a towel and the last step after removing the Plasticine is to thread the fill port. No air. It sounds complicated because i have to explain it, but this is what car technicians do to your coolant system when they have to remove the coolant for a leak, but the coolant is still new, recently added. They remove the coolant under vacuum into a reservoir and keep it there, then use vacuum to suck it back into the car, without any air bubbles trapped in there. Several YT channels in the car world have demonstrated the operation, which would probably be a good thing to watch for a better explanation of the process.

If you have megaman in a lower power stance type position, and line his gun up with the tube that runs from the cpu block to the distro plate, you could do something cool with running an LED strip along that tube to illuminate it as if it’s the beam. With 2 rad's you could have separate loops, but you would have another pump and reservoir. So with a single pump and reservoir and one big loop, it seems like best thermal performance would be to have the outflow from cpu go directly to one radiator and the outflow of GPU to the other radiator. Then the output of the GPU radiator would be the input to the CPU spreader, or vice versa the outflow of the CPU radiator goes to the GPU input. I guess i'm thinking along these lines because I don't like having the GPU outflow go directly into the CPU inlet, even though it passes through a reservoir on the way.
