Gracefully unravelled describes me most days! Well I hope I do it gracefully lol! I love this verigated yarn. Using the large hook makes it work up fast! Looks like a cute project.

Great tutorial! I was wondering if there is a tutorial for the same pattern but for a mug rather than travel mug? I’m having trouble making a space for a handle!

Hello! While doing the first row of sc, ive been told to skip one stitch and go for the next one in the chain to start the sc. in the video you told us not to skip one. Whats the reason for that, how would it turn out if we did skip a chain? Thanks!

If you skip a chain to begin with then I would recommend making an extra chain. The purpose of not chaining 1 (called a standing single crochet) in the beginning of the row is just to make edges neater & also make it less confusing to find stitches when working in the round. It’s all about preference!

I’m sorry about that! I used Lion Brand Hometown & an 8 mm hook.

Is this a 6 weight yarn with an 8 hook? Usually videos give all those details and this did not

Thanks for letting me know! I’m not sure why the blog links aren’t working. I’ll have to see if I can ask her what’s up with them! I know that her Etsy shop link still works, it won’t be a free pattern anymore, though. It’s around $3.50, I think? I’m sorry about the inconvenience!

What size yarn what size hook

I believe it’s a bulky 6 yarn with 10 mm hook. There is a link to the written pattern in the description, it has all the details that you need. 😊

Is there a more clear video? It keeps going out of focus from the work and I have had to restart this simple project 5 times. I’m not understanding how to connect the two ends

If it’s too hard, maybe try loosening up your tension on your very first row? That first waistcoat round can be pretty tricky if your first row of sc is on the tighter side. I really hope that you’re able to figure it out! ❤️
