And I bet we'll know how that announcement will go. [Intercom]: "Cave Johnson, new owner and CEO of Black Mesa. That's right, you've been bought. First order of business, we're renaming you under the Aperture brand. I'm leaning towards Blappeture Mesa. Marketing boys think something else. So; Blappeture it is. Next, they tell me you people are conducting some anomalous materials research that could result in a resonance cascade. So, I'm shutting that down before you idiots end the world. A resonance cascade! You're supposed to be scientists. Use some common sense."
nah i think he said "blyat uno" we can clearly read "uno" and because he's russian he said blyat - we all know russians say blyat everytime they say something
This is the type of research that regularly goes down in Black Mesa. Only the bravest of scientists work there. It is both an honour and a sacrifice. I highly respect the employees there.
The part at 4:35 showing Forced Perception is actually a pretty cool lesson in what video game designers had to do to create that immersion in those days, because true depth wasn't achievable at that time so they had to use short cuts; and I didn't even realize that myself Until I saw that part with the two NPCs on top of the jets.
Hmm... I heard that Deathmatch port was broken. The ragdolly and different effects of Source don't make Gold Source ports fully work. I mean when ported, Source engine doesn't have few things Half-Life engine has and a few ings are different which makes dirrect ports have a few broken parts... That's why you may sometimes see game breaking bugs.
The HECU AI is inept compared to the original. Also a lot of the effects have been screwed up because of engine modifications. Valve's too lazy to fix it.
@@randomdude_12335 the day he commented was when the ikagura comment was 1 month ago, i think you didnt learn maths, and i don't care about the date of your comment.
1:43 The reason that happens is because if you wait long enough in Half Life, the scientist succeeds in getting Barney alive again, but HL:Source forgot to make him unable to make a sound until he's up, causing that to happen. Barney coming alive isn't a glitch, it was there in the original HL1, just the event was sorta messed up. He does not have the health to die in one shot from your gun in Source, but the original killed him in one shot Old versions of HL:S have less broken cutscenes, and most graphical effects are not messed up.
I actually love hl:s, even in its current state. It just takes a mod to fix it almost entirely and the game plays great. I love the way it looks, old textures and models under the smooth lighting, some noise on the textures and cool color correction
I think it's just an easy way of showing perspective. They made them small and closed to the player so that they look far off in the distance, while if they used full sized models, it could lag the game and they might not be viewable with the draw distance
