She is a big deal for those in the know! By many experts she is considered on of the best alive at this time and in the mix for one of the Best ever! I must admit that I am also of that opinion! Her health and her commitment to God made it impossible for her to commit to the large record labels, so she must decline their offers but continues on in her own way! Only a few years back there was a 2 1/2 year period were she had Pneumonia 8 times and at one point she didn’t think she would ever sing again, on such time was when she Performed,You Raise Me Up, on Immortal Songs. She sang that a week or so out of hospital and on doctors orders not to talk very and no singing! She sang to honour her commitment To God to use her voice to comfort and lift the Spirits of those that need it! Crazy hey! I pray she does risk her own well being until she is well ! There is a lot more to the story but bottom line she took a holiday after to visit one of her sister-in-laws in New York, from there they visited Boston and there she saw a Banner on a street that had a Quote from President F.D.Roosevelt, "Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself"and she took it as a sign from God, to continue singing! I am sure Glad she didn’t give up!

Ahlam, thanks for another Sohyang performance. She wrote this song about her dreams for the future as a little girl. Her friends say that she wrote it so high that no one else can sing it. I think so. This is the same concert where she sang "I Have Nothing" the Whitney Huston hit. On the same stage, same Backup Singers, and same dress. That one is my favorite performance. Cheers.
