Now, cats have what humans consider to be a funny reaction to being scared. Yet its a very primal instinct, called the flight or fight response. Every single animal has it. Don't believe me? Scare a dog and see if it doesn't try and either run or attack you. Same with humans, to a lesser degree. Being scared releases adrenaline, which prepares our muscles to fight or run.
