@@noxidgaming1114 Brent would make nonstop SpongeBob references, Nick would only play it if he was doing multiplayer with Vernias (and constantly point out that this is the most Vernias game of all time), and Eevee would find some way to turn it into an absolutely cursed experience.
I hope this becomes a series because this was genuinely really funny and combined with the joy at seeing one of the first games I’ve played revisited and Vern’s whimsy and humor, I was smiling the whole way through
In school, I saw some kids crowded around a kid playing this game, I saw it and thought it looked like lots of fun. I thought next time I go to town with my mom I’d see if it was anywhere. I picked out a game that I THOUGHT was starfy because it looked similar… That game was Kirby super star ultra, and my introduction to kirby. Thanks for showing me what the alternative was Vern ^^
The music in those flashback cutscenes always makes me feel wistful. Like I wonder if that music will flash through my mind decades from now when my time is up.
This was like a fever dream of my childhood. I owned it and beat it, but I have NO memory of where it came from and then it disappeared without a trace.
Starfy 1 actually has a complete translation done btw, it’s really fun if you wish you had more starfy content~ Also, if you’re going for 100% in that game, kill every enemy, even in the vehicle tutorial sections, I accidentally screwed myself out of it lol~
Fun fact from my childhood and this game: When i was leaving one of my Upward Basketball games, I was walking outside and inside the entrance waiting for my parents to be done talking to each other and other people, when I saw in the parking lot this game cartridge by itself. I asked around and no one lost it, so that day i got a free DS game and have proceeded to love this game ^^
STARFY! I loved this game when I was a kid! And I loved playing those mini games with my cousins. In fact, we finished the final boss together. Might be the only game in existence with good water levels! So many good memories! Sucks that there’s not a sequel.
Yay!! I’m happy you also grew up on Starfy! I got it when I got my first independent console (a blue DSI) after having a dental surgery as a child. I got Starfy and Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time with it lol
Omg yes!!! This was my favorite childhood game (all we could really afford was a DS and Starfy was one of two games I had on it) I am SO glad to see it getting the love it deserves

Legendary Starfy is my all time favorite DS game. It's so charming and fun. Except for how hard the final boss was. I remember I had to actually get my dad to beat Mashtooth for me.
This was one of my favorite games as a kid, I got it before we went on vacation and I played the hell out of it, this game was so much fun and I loved 100% completing this game, also Vern you can attack his tentacles when he’s chasing you

I played this game so much as a kid and even beat it multiple times and even 100% completed it in more recent years Starfy is very near and dear to my heart
Hoo boy, Vernias.... *I wont Spoil anything, But there are WAY more worlds than just two, and there is SO much to get done in that one game. Also this game has...like...3-4 prequels that havent been ported over to america.*
I haven't played this game yet, but I do love me some Kirby games! I will definitely have to check this game out (and the GBA games). So basically Vernias the starfish and TCNick the clam go on a grand adventure together. Vern is out here fumbling dumplings and trying to reach the squirts? Rated E for everyone!
This is bringing back childhood trauma for me as this was the first game I ended up rage quoting as a kid if your wondering how because the game is easy THAT GOD DAMN FINAL MASHING SECTION ON THE FINAL BOSS IS A NIGHTMARE even after getting older it still took me 7 attempts to finally beat it the worst part is you need to beat the entire last phase every time you failed it so Vern better mash like Brent to finally beat the game

Oh my gosh! I remember being a kid and I saw the commercial for the game, and I instantly wanted it so I got it for my birthday! It's still one of my favorite games of all time!❤
