I LOVE STARK!!! | Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 6 Reaction 

We all love Stark

As a father of two now adult sons, the scene of the love between Eisen and his surrogate son, Stark, on the battlement ran me over like it was a Mack Truck full of feels. Eisen's protective and supportive hand on Stark's shoulder was absolutely beautiful especially after learning how the two parted. I really hope Stark gets his chance to tell Eisen about all his adventures.

Eisen hit Stark on reflex out of fear that Stark was going to hit him during their last argument. Eisen didn't mean to hurt and scar Stark, but he knows that Stark is powerful. Eisen is more powerful than Stark (that's why Stark got hurt) but Eisen's "fear of" (or belief in) Stark's power made Eisen use more force in the hit - injuring Stark and regretting his action. Eisen was ashamed of this and couldn't bring himself to approach Stark to apologize; meanwhile Stark believes that his master was still angry and disappointment in him that he too couldn't bring himself to come back until he has proven himself worthy (and having stories of his adventure). Both are truly similar, both fearful and stubborn.

rewatching this with you, I was thinking. Frieren didn't help Fern kill her first monster because she needed the accomplishment to build her courage. So maybe, after seeing that cliff split by Stark she said for him 30sec because she thought "I bet he could kill it in 30sec". And with him being Eisen's student, she wanted to give him one final lesson? And Heiter taught her that sometimes its better to trick a friend into doing something that will benefit them.

One whiff of the possibility of responsibility being placed on her and Frieren is immediately like, "I don't like where this is going." The best part about Stark joining the group is that it shows just how much Fern has become like Frieren. When it's just the two of them, she seems to be the normal one, but as soon as someone who is actually normal is around, it becomes extremely obvious that she is not.

lol when Stark asked Fern if she wanted to go eat something with him and she gave him the evil eye, she wasn't upset with him.. moreso knowing how Frieren is from her previous journey collecting flowers for Himmel's statue, and Stark has NO idea how she is. She came to him immediately after figuring out it might be two years so, yeah lol. Poor Stark though. The best part is watching Frieren's emotions grow with these kids, already have been with Fern and she even praised Stark lol.

It just occurred to me, that the dragon's choice to leave the town alone might have been more than it just being afraid of Stark: I'm not sure about the specific lore in this show, but in general, Dragons in Fantasy live even longer than Elves and are highly intelligent - so why would it bother fighting a difficult opponent, when it could simply wait for him to move on... or die of old age? Even if he lived to be a 100, it would be no time at all for the dragon.

i believe eisen hit stark because eisen is the type of person to be jumpscared at a haunted house and instinctively throatpunch the worker dressed in the costume
