This song was the background song of my life at 27. I had always been in long term relationships, and I realized that I had to make it on my own. I moved away to Key West and danced, danced, danced. I still love this song!
Strange I am 69 years young and still dig the Disco tunes was a great time for me being I had just returned to the US after a tour in Southeast Asian jungles. That was 74 then in 75 went to Germany spent most of the Disco years overseas lol Still Rocks my boat.

Covid 19 needs to do to one. 70,s what days they where,not a care in the world we had,great music,a lot of us was latch key kids.Playing marbles and covered in muck then calling at chippy to eat our chips off newspaper.Shiny sleeves we had,from having no hanky,not a care in the world we had back then,well, I'm in Isolation but listening to great music of the 70,s is taking me back to the good old days and not forgetting to drink my Bailey's ,take care people stay well, these days will never come back when we didn't have a care in the world xx

For some reason, I just could not stop laughing at the idea of Dracula on a disco dancefloor dancing to a song called 'I Love The Nightlife', haha. It was just TOO perfect! I read somewhere she didn't like how the song was turned to disco style during/post production - it was meant to be more r&b originally. So, making hits was not her ultimate motive when it comes to music. I love the song too, it's perfect:laid-back disco beat, some country-style guitar licks at beginning, groovy bass and of course her singing - beautiful.

I've heard these kinds of songs when I was 3 or 5 years old. Slowly loved the new wave of the 80s and glam rock and rock ballads in the 90s. Now at 48 back to loving these 70s disco songs. Makes me feel young again.
I was 18 when this song came out, I can remember dancing the swing with many young, beautiful ladies to this song, and when I lifted them over my head, (in a laid out position) and spinning around in circles numerous times...they where mine for the night. Danny Dancer does it again and again and again...loved the disco era!!!! I was a superstar back then, I'd walk in a club, and it'd be like John Travolta came strutting in... those were the days!!!

Probably because I was a dance instructor for the Fred Astaire's dance studio in Louisville KY., It sure got me the girls, I've been married 7 times, and probably slept with about 5,000 different ladies, I've got 6 children by 5 different women, and only 1 was a wife, I've had a hard life...but a very fun one.
