They didn't do a whole lot of the choreo when they performed this on tour, but I highly recommend watching one of those performances. They inflated a giant bouncy castle on stage and the guys spent the whole song chasing each other around the stage and making full use of that bouncy castle. Jimin had fun teasing RM by running away when he tried to give Jimin the anpan. There's even a compilation video of that part during various performances, with Jimin running and RM having different reactions. It's really cute!
What I really love about when they were promoting this song at music shows is that all the boys are dressed as “regular” hero’s like constructions workers etc.
J-Hope has always been HOT, but until the moment they hit the stage, he is in the back making sure everyone else is on their mark. ANPANMAN and GO GO is actually the most fun choreography for me! Worth checking out is the 2018 MAMA live performance of this song .. one of the more iconic ones
Anpanman is one of the saddest songs for me lyrics wise 🥺 the concept of a hero that gives out pieces of himself and never stops because he knows hes needed, cue the tears🤧 bangtan are our heroes! Btw, during the pandemic this song is definitely performed for the first response professionals, medics and nurses 💜
Every time I hear this song I think of 2 things. Hobi in a Bugs bunny sweater and RM in an astronaut suit. So I guess they are my Anpanmen 😁 Love and support 💜💜
I think the “hero in a maze” line could also mean that even if they haven’t figured out everything for themselves yet, it doesn’t mean that they can’t still help others along the way to getting there by giving them a part of themselves for others’ strength
Woohoo anpanman!! If you look again in the choreography, Namjoon was acting as the anpanman where he takes a bit of his head and gave it to jimin who was acting as people in need of the hero’s help ;)
Anpanman is definitely Hobi’s song 😂😂 idk what it is but every time they perform it he just always goes a little bit harder than usual (w/ the choreography) 😂

Please watch their performance of this song at MAMA 2018 in Japan for the Fans' Choice Awards. It's so amazing how they turned it into their own concert. The choreo may still be somewhat the same but their performance was out of this world.
I can never not be in the mood for Anpanman. It’s just one of those songs that regardless of how I’m feeling, after I listen to it I just feel better for it!

I love this song, it gives me a good vibe & energy, i love the live version especially when they have inflatable castle and other things on stage, it's so fun to watch the boys playing around.
There’s a compilation video of how jungkook and taehyung would start the song on tour and it’s some of the cutest moments they have on stage! Like sometimes jk would sit behind Tae and you couldn’t see him from the front but the rest are on a knee and around Tae and jk would shake his shirt so while he sang the intro part he looks like superhero flying lol sometimes it would open with jk giving Tae and piggyback ride,another time he was carrying like how husbands carry wives of the threshold or they would be linked holding hand and ye wouldn’t let jks hand go and they’d be dancing holding hands… it’s super cute. Bts and their duality and the ability for all 7 seven of them to go from daddy version to cutie version within one song is an enigma that baffles army to this day… Jhope definitely does this just like the rest of them 😂😂 it’s gonna be one of the wonders of the world I’m sure of it 😋
You're not over-interpreting; you nailed it on the head. :) This was filmed during the Dynamite era, hence the blue-haired RM. On the live stages, they have a giant bounce house they play around on during this.
If u watch any concert live of this song it's more fun..at the beginning Tae and Jk does some signature steps and at the last part of RM verse Jimin runs off from RM which is so funny and as always Hobi goes offf.. 90% leg performance this is what I call it 😁😁

For a casual listener they seem random songs, but we know they chose these songs to give us comfort during the pandemic. I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t find them just before the lockdown 💜

This song is the first BTS song that I have interpreted by myself. When I first listened to this song, my first impression was just it was cute and lively. But one day when I was reading through it's lyrics while listening to it for the nth time, it hit me. It was a very warm and heartfelt song. I became an army, afterwards.
I always loved Anpanman Cos it’s such a fun song and saw lots of videos of their concert version and that always seem like a free for all just chaotic energy. I knew what it’s about and loved that they chose such an interesting super hero. But I never looked at the lyrics closely before...as usual lots of deeper meaning. The video you chose was an amazing performance! First time that I saw an actual choreography for this and you are spot on with your description! It is so intricate and difficult but they did it with such flow and ease that it seems like very organic movements...and that jump of Jin and JK! Looked like they were floating! Anpanman and Go Go are the most fun to watch in terms of them not taking themselves too seriously even if the the lyrics are deeper than they first appear! I loved watching the Anpanman compilation from their concerts because they look like they’re having a blast!
This is my favourite song to cheer myself up, there is no way to stay sad or not dance with it on. The choreography is actually really tiring and they make it look so easy. You should DEFINITELY check out the concert version where they do “anpanman” and “so what,” with this huge kids bouncy big slide and bouncy kinda like a kids bouncy castle and they run around sliding on the slide or jumping through holes to get to other sides of the stage while they have gopros that they’re filming themselves lol they the do “so what,” and I don’t think I’ve seen you do that song which is such an epic concert ended where they set off the fireworks during it and i think deflate the bouncy house sometimes or maybe not I can’t remember that part but they run around throwing water at each other lol it’s one f the most fun back to back songs that are so much fun and they’re cute and silly through it all and def that version is worth a watch with so what IMO!

How many artists will dress up in costume of anime characters? How many artists makes songs about anime characters? Not many, and that's why BTS is so popular, they do things that others don't. You should watch the BT21 Universe episodes where they are tasked with creating their own anime characters. Reminds me of the toon character in Big Hero Six, cute but a hero.

Finally, Anpanman! This Is One of my favorite songs by BTS. The concept Is touching, the choreo Is so happy and the vibes are so positive. I also suggest you watch performances where they wear more colorful clothes. They are a cuteness overload. This Is the Song through which Hoseok became my bias. He Is that noticeable in It. Fun fact: my husband won me over, twenty years ago, by doing an airplane dance like Hobi's. Miles away, obviously, but when I saw this song, It reminded me of that 😁

It is a very light and fun song but it does have the message of even regular people can be superheroes you don't need to have powers you can also influence the world in your own way which is obviously what BTS has done. In a concert they did in Wembley RM was wearing a hat with the name Son on it he is a soccer player from SK who is probably the most popular 1 at the moment who plays in England. He was playing a CL final(which is the highest competition in club football) They wore the hat to support him saying he is a super hero
