Coach!!! I can't believe I found you on RU-vid while searching for a Covey "Goose & Egg" example a few years ago.. Now, we're heading to Bigger Pockets and you're on my list for "go see/hear/learn!" Thank you for always sharing your story with us about how you do what matters. You are appreciated 💛 by us all!
I am a big fan of Covey and the 7 Habits ideas, so that is interesting you found me that way! I appreciate your support and look forward to meeting at BP.
This is life advice .. I think you are transcending the borders ... if someone told me listen to this great modern day philosopher and gave me this video, I wouldn't believe if at the end of it he told me you were a real estate investment advisor and not an actual philosopher.
I have so much respect for you and your widsom. It's not only that you went to CLEMSON - but your balance and "doing what matters" is refreshing in the real estate space. As a successful realtor myself, all I think about is the how much of my life I gave away and wasn't present for to be successful in the residential RE space. However, I did get to Clemson to see a game or two and had a photo with my son (Class of 2016) and Dabo at Pixie and Bill's! What a terrific time to attend Clemson during those great football moments. I now have all four of our kids launched and am looking for my next move - or as you say "finding out what matters now." I like your wife's ideas.
Thank you so much for the comment, Nan! And that's very cool to hear we share the Clemson and real estate connection. I wish you best of luck with this exciting next phase of your life!!
Chad@coachcarson.com. unfortunately I don't have a lot of lunch time available these days with kids, this channel, and some local volunteer activities. But let's definitely stay in touch.
Get an economics degree and a Constitutional law type degree. That's what I would do. At this point in my life, I want cash, income and/or assets to leave to my children so they can be free of the 9-5 cubicle life. I want them to have freedom to do what they want now (when they're 18), instead of at 56 years old.
I'm not materialist in other words. It's be happy living in a 1 room cabin in the woods. But I want my children to have more freedom and opportunity. I would also do a lot of philanthropic activities like create a housing community for homeless people with tiny houses.
I really love your message and hearing how you & your wife are blending of best worlds...Being financially stable AND doing good in the world. That's my aspiration and what I teach to my son when we talk about real estate, entrepreneurship & being human in general. Thank you for taking about these things on your platform!!!
Thank you for the feedback! We're definitely not perfect here, but trying to blend those two ideals:) Finding that elusive Golden Mean of Money! I love that you talk to your son about that too. Those are the most important conversations.
Office Space's 'dream of doing nothing' pretty much nails it. The freedom to wander through life, trying what you want, when you want for a long as you want w/o worry or fear of the responsibilities waiting for you back home.
Hola coach! After alot of hard work and dedication I finally graduated college and started working as a builder for a big national corporation. I plan on leveraging my skills for new construction or renovations one day. I look forward to more of your content!
