Im glad you did the tie. When 2 athletes train so hard for 8 events and end up completely equal, a tie is much more appropriate than adding a random 9th event that one may be better at than the other.
I think a tie is lovely especially as weight categories are a deifnite stepping stone for people into the sport and shows that supportive & friendly nature that is clear in strongwoman and appreciation of the hard work athletes put in. I'm really pushing now in Wales and hoping to be at brits now in November at birmingham in the tiny u64 so fingers crossed.
A good athlete would've shared just the same. Simply recognizing you both worked hard and did great equally fair by the rules. A selfish one chooses all to herself. Congrats
Congratulations 👍👍. Stay natural, keep fighting for that "end" of Strongman Sport. I like the idea of a draw/tie. Joint world's strongest makes sense, when 2 athletes do evenly good. Train hard, stay safe 👍
I think it is mind set as this happened to me in Martial arts I wondered if I could had achieved more but worried about health and other things I was born with. I seam to give up what ever I do sadly and most never finish. I think time to see if motivation is the problem because clearly you are stronger than you think or know. I noticed that most women's sports are not on live film and that is very bad. It is like women's darts got to a point where they could compete with men yet just not able to finish this needs addressing because if there was more ares for women to play against men in darts that would help the women's games same in snooker pool bowling things like that. Perhaps it is time for mixed couples to do a strong man face off say for a charity just a thought.
There are plenty of areas for women to play with men and improve. If there was more than the occasional player who could compete-they would already be doing that. Darts has been popular with men for a long time and I’m sure if that ever becomes the case for women then the general standard will rise.
