Hoje assisti novamente e pude perceber que esse vídeo é como uma passagem bíblica, servindo para cada momento da sua vida que você se sentir desmotivado e querer fazer uma mudança significativa na sua vida e no seu modo de agir. Agora, aqui em São Paulo, são 13h18min. E ai Carol, onde será que vc está nesse momento lendo esse comentário? For the past year I've been thinking about a move to Melbourne, I thought a big city life would suit me and my career better, but the truth is, ever since I moved here, I've been feeling miserable, for the past 2 months.I can't wait to move back to the Gold Coast. I miss the sunshine and the tropical weather, I miss my friends, I miss my real life, it's been years that I haven't felt as depressed as I feel right now.

I can't wait to leave LA & move back to NYC where I grew up. It's .. home.

It's awful to force yourself into a box you don't fit in, just bc that's what you're expected to do. There were times in my life I just went with the flow bc that was what everybody was telling me it was logical, or even right, and in every single one of these moments, after some time, I collapsed. The last time was about 2 yrs ago, after 10 yrs working as an ESL teacher I had a burnout not bc precisely WHAT I was doing, but due to the fact that I never really believed it was right. In order to make a decent amount of money to pay for basic needs, you have to sell your soul to schools that preach humanization, and creative thinking, and freedom of speech, but deep down, that's just for the posters, and every day felt like I was selling my soul to the devil. I quit my job, started working as a freelance writer for tech websites and I'm making way less money now, and rely mostly on my partner to get the household going, but I'm slowly gaining space, creating networks, advancing on the career, and not for ONE MOMENT it felt wrong. For the first time it felt like that's what I was meant to do, and I'm glad I found myself, even if only after soooo f*ing long.
