No. He isn't. He's been pretty lighthearted in many of his interviews for the past several years. I think it somewhat depends on the interviewer's energy. If the interviewer is tight, so tends to be Christian. This interviewer was at ease and so was Christian. Also the man seems to always be working - often doing press for one movie while in the middle of making another. He's got his Pale Blue Eye facial hair going on in this video I think. I'll bet sometimes with all the jet lag and traveling and overlapping duties he's just plumb tired. It's hard to project upbeat energy when you're just beat! Many people EXPECT to see him being tense or intense - so that's what they see. Look at interviews with Matt Damon and him for Ford V. Ferrari for instance. He's joking and laughing in those too. You still have a couple of people in this comment section that are saying he was 'intense' in THIS interview if that gives you any perspective. 🤣😂

@@travisbickle5279 I don’t know that I give Dicky that credit. I think that being a Dad has changed him and his perspective on life. I think he was guarded after the rant for fear of being ambushed about it in interviews like RDJ has been about events in his past. Now that we are fourteen years out from that infamous four minutes of his life 🙄 I think he is also starting to relax. However, the interviewer in Bales GQ interview out in November comes close to referencing it. There’s always that interviewer whose looking for an angle to stand out. Lastly I think he has come to be more accepting if the necessity for the press junkets and such. I also think if he’s been involved a lot behind the scenes of the movie, his motivation changes a little and he brings a different “hat” to the interview. But yeah he has grown as a person like most of us have and he seems happy and even more quick than he used to be to make a joke these days. Also, the man lives for his family. Making movies takes a back seat. You can tell. It’s great and I think he’s happier than he ever thought he could be. I read he was completely a nonbeliever in marriage…until he met the woman who is now his wife 😂😂❤️.

I've learned when you talk to a celeb you meet like a normal stranger you're meeting for the first time it's easier for the both of you. Rather than crying and screaming and asking for photos and stuff like that.

He went off on one person, one time. It was a really bad day and it was unfortunate. But most people say he's awesome to work with. Amy Adams has worked with him 3 times. Christopher Nolan worked with him 4 times. Adam Mckay and David O Russell have worked with him multiple times
