If that's the case it could go either way, they could turn it into a cinematic or an actual game. My bet is just a cinematic is Disney would ban this game so quick, especially if the news is true about an official Kotor remake.

Yeah, Disney...they threw away (like you do trash!) the greatest asset the whole Star Wars IP had (the EU! Because when there aren't new movies made: What keeps the IP alive? Yeah, games, books, comics etc.) and replaced it with their own trash (that makes no sense! People like Mon Mothma wouldn't disarm the Republic, again, they after all knew that this dumb idea led to the fucking Clone Wars! The whole Resistance schtick is only Rebellion 2.0 because they have no original ideas what so ever!)....hell, they are (now that fans have shown them that they don't like their trash!) ATM tomb raiding/grave robbing the EU! Characters like Thrawn are revived and butchered (Thrawn is a damn genius in the original books - on Rebells he's an idiot in comparison!), again because they don't have original ideas and can't accept that other writers have had original ideas and made a whole (expanded) universe out of those ideas!

Everyone forgets about Balmorra. Balmorra has been in limbo since the Haus of Maus took the IP over. In a way it's a better fate to be memory holed, than be tossed into Legends or Disney canon like Korriban/Moraband...

They’ve mostly just done ports of other games for mobile devices, so this will be a test for them. I almost wish they had chosen to gift them their big break with something less important to the fans, but whatever. If it turns out shitty, we’ll still have this version to look forward to.

@@nateb3679 A mod is legal as long as you don't take profit from it(like Apeiron was going to). If someone releases a mod, the company can't complain. However, if the mod is in development, the company CAN shut it down with a lawsuit and if the developer continues after the lawsuit, that would be illegal. If it's done secretly, once it's online nothing can be done. The developer would only be in danger if he would be taking profit from it.

Not completely sure yet. We working on getting scripts finished up. Probably around 30 minutes at the longest, but depending on our ambition, we would love to do 10 hour long episodes. But that does seem a bit much to try!

@@UnrealCinema I want to know how you're doing the Dialog system because this is not easy to do in Unreal Engine having attempted a dialog system with my own original game Tesseract Prime Offworlds which is a game like Kotor with all the dialog that's in it because I have ten party members in my game also so i got the dialog working but am but stuck on creating the dialog multi-menu branching conversation choices system. As Kotor has got multi tier level choices in its dialog. And I have tens of thousands of lines of dialog. So I think in Unreal Engine there's only the Behavior Tree to do multiple dialog branching conversations because I not sure how to do it with just Data Tables for creating the Multiple choice branchings within the dialog conversations....

@@UnrealCinema i just want to express my thanks for your effort, as one of my favorite games of all time (i still own both and play them when the mood strikes) i absolutely love what you have so far, i just hope as a fan of kotor, that you guys make justice for revan, whom is still not canon, despite the kotor communiy begging for it. If there is anything that you need, let us know. I hope your project sees the light one day, and don't get discouraged by haters or toxics, whatever you guys end up doing, just dont stop. This is the best news i have had in a long time

Its sad cos I recall the whole point was that the modifications would *require* the base game to run, it was essentially a mod that reused the game's assets but placed them in a whole new graphics engine

@@brayddn52 this is the only way. Pretty sure Lucasfilm has gotten a lot more lenient with fan films, but a few years ago KOTOR Apeiron, which was a UE4 remaster of KOTOR, got a cease and desist. If this was going to be a game it would probably meet the same fate.
